Hey guys … so that’s first 24 hours complete in Finland. Now this is a crazy place and damn expensive lol. But it’s so nice also to have my brothers some of my closest friends all in one place living together. Yesterday we pushed carbs to 1000g fats to 80 and protein to 230. It was a good day food all went in v v easily. Stick to the sources I usually do and it was fine. I was probably my tightest and flattest so far yesterday so I know i sucked them up pretty easily. Today when Calum wakes we will have a look and decide on today’s food based on the look. Then it’ll be carbs today lower or cut them tomorrow and use tomorrow to dry off. Tomorrow is also registration and tan which all needs booking still too. Getting nervous and excited. Show number 5 ! I feel my heads starting to need a rest. Body is good. Heads a little bit tired. Haven’t decided what to do next but we will see how this weekend goes then from there. Miss my family so much so that’s really making this tough but I have there backing so we keep going. Pics from yesterday

Let this be THE ONE Haider! Praying for you bud. Looking sick.

Awesome to follow along and good luck Haider! No doubt you’re improving every single show and Finland will be the best yet!

A bit of an odd question, but we all try to learn from various sources and it’s not to say one is better from the other – but I’m curious since you’ve trained under J for so long and are training with Cal now –

What are the differences between their approaches? Obviously intensity is probably similar, but in terms of volume, frequency, exercise selection… others?

Thanks much and again, go crush em in Finland.

Good morning guys. So what a nightmare. Turns out my show is Friday not Saturday. So plans changed completely. One day load of 900 carb went in easy. Light push session abs today we assess. Looking like 2 carb meals then we back off go low rest of the day and dry out. Then I’m on in the morning. Pics were from yesterday at my lightest weight all year pre load

Good luck tomorrow Haider! You’re going to crush it man. Very excited to see you on the stage

Little later than usual log from me. I’ve had to stretch my day a little to accommodate the refeed jordan gave me today

219 this morning and the best look to date. The best I have ever looked hands down and we were both super happy with the look.

The plan is to run through the regional qualifier with no peak so we can attack the main show in 18 as that’s the one that matters.

Today jordan ordered a muffin pre. I always opt for a blueberry from Costa as it’s lower fat. 150g cor extra post wo and then large pizza with 3 x slices of cake, from a Starbucks Costa etc. All this went down incredibly well with 0 digestive issues. For the volume of food i had I would expect a little bloating as my stomach has had very little volume for a while now but it digested like a 25 year old me would and didn’t touch the sides haha

This will likely be a last feed before the “peak” I would imagine hence the reason it was a big one or I’m assuming that’s Jordan’s thought process or again just seeing what we can get away with while we still have a little time etc

In for legs tomorrow so it’s going to be a good one for sure.

18 days to bring the best version of me so far.. almost there but still work to do so head is down and eyes on the prize

Very cool Jimmy! curious – how old are you? The “25 year old me” got me wondering
I’m 32 bud soo not too old yet but not young either lol
32 years young!

Nope , it’s also not that much more than usual.

Preciously did 4 compound sets for legs , now doing 6

    Ham curl always done 2-3

    Hyper always been that amount

Always done glute drive or pulls when feels gd

Never been able to leg ext but now I can I don’t do as many adductor sets

So total volume is what, 2 sets more than what it’s been for the last 3-4 years .

Is that really worth even commenting on? Imo no lol

Haha thanks- makes perfect sense and I saw someone asking this in a less-polite way on page 22.

    Thanks for the explanation!

Hey Jordan – really appreciate the log and you sharing so transparently with us all.

Curious about your volume in terms of sets:

I know you’re partly driving it up because you’re “working on your gas tank” / able to. Eg 4 sets on leg press, 3 on leg ext, pendulum, lots of sets of pulls on other days

Has this changed your mindset/approach to programming for others in terms of amount of sets?

1-2kg for most as Jordan says.

Bigger you are more you will
    Hold in general

    Thanks Hilly

I wouldn’t worry much about that, look in the mirror , lean enough – sweet minincut over, not lean enough and still not hungry yet , push for more

Thanks – that’s helpful. Yeah the mirror is a much better gauge as soon as drugs are involved. You’re spot on.

1.5-2kg ish , if your normal offseason, if your fat, more , if your lean – less

Thanks very much, Jordan. I dropped 2.7kg so far in a week on my minicut (cut calories by ~1200), so was curious how much was “fat” vs. insulin weight.

July 26, 2021 at 11:40 am in reply to: Interpreting echocardiogram results

Hi mate, not a dr, I’m a physiologist.
Its very difficult to say what caused the hypertrophy of the left and right ventricles assuming this is your first scan so you don’t know what it was like prior. Both competitive rowing and anabolics have been known to do this usually on the left side. Could be athletes heart from rowing, could be secondary to anabolics or an underlying condition. Personally I would speak to a dr and repeat the scan to monitor changes.

    Thank you very much.

FYI Joe Jeffrey said something similar:

“I have a lot of clients that I ask for echocardiograms from, and am very familiar with interpreting echo results.

These results are not immediately concerning and fairly uniform for an individual using AAS+resistance training and/or is/has performed a large amount of aerobic activity, but I would keep a close eye.

I would use this as a yardstick for how these results change over time WRT your PED use.

E.g. ‘I used X androgen load this year, and my LVH increased by Y%’.

I would also keep a close eye on the EF, I really wouldn’t want to see that <50%.”
