Weight was up today a touch – maybe a sign of a little fatigue? It was certainly met with an overwhelming feeling of tiredness so today we pulled cardio. And took a rest day. Just hit my steps.

In This game it’s so important to listen to your body. Yes of course sometimes you have to just push through but when you’re in show shape, everyday should be evaluated and auto regulated to bring the best look to the stage.

Fresh is the goal for the weekend. Tomorrow we go again.

241 today and dropping. Leaner each day. Cardio still in but I think we’re going to pull it next day or two. As condition is pretty much there and need to balance fatigue – as want a fresh look on stage. Will update this week as and what we change. But today no change. Still 30 mins cardio 12k steps 🙂

Another drop today to 242 lbs thats the lightest I’ve been in a goooood long time! Back to training to failure and bringing a bit of a different approach into this last show. Going to be running a whole new peaking strategy to hopefully bring my full condition and put it on stage ?

I think people like us with a growth mindset will always think ‘what else can I be doing’ … on the flip side of that I’ve found it beneficial to take a step back from ‘pushing’ for a few hour’s a day to mentally recharge. There’s nothing wrong at all with watching a movie or going for a walk with your partner of whatever if it helps you chill and get you keen to get going again 🙂

So currently 9 days out from protugal – which no matter what will be my last show before a long and much needed off season.

A lot of change recently but feeling in a very good spot. Back down to baseline weight now. 243lbs – lightest of prep and we’re looking for around 240 before looking to pull back a bit and start to wash off some fatigue.

Travelling out to Portugal next Thursday so will make sure we’re fully ready before then so travelling is as stress free as possible. Can’t be more stressful that Sweden right? ?

Looking pretty lean here bud but with lots of room to fill out. If appetite is good. I’d bump food 1-200kcal roll that out for a couple weeks then reassess and repeat. If appetite stalls you could add in some extra output via steps, small
Additional cardio or set extensions (if appropriate)… bud over all you look great keep pushing I see no need whatsoever for a cut. Just commit and be consistent 🙂

    THE SWEDEN RUNDOWN

Ok wow so I’m flying back now from Sweden. Been obviously a pretty crazy trip considering the circumstances.

So the whole peaking process was interesting. We rolled through the regional with no pump no carb up etc (aside 1 carb meal on the morning of) – it felt weird standing on stage like that so flat but the goal was always to peak at the pro Q so it is what it is – originally pro Q was Portugal which we planned to roll through on pro fats but with the opportunity of Sweden coming up we had to figure out a last minute loading strategy.

So after the show on Saturday obviously I had to load for the show the next day. Water we kept in at 6 L and also salt in at 12g – with no taper or cut of either of them.

Food on Saturday – 1 day out from Sweden pro Q
    1. (3 Hours Pre-Stage) – 175g COR, 50g honey
    2. (Car On Way To Airport) – 10 caramel rice cakes, 200g strawberry jam
    3. 175g COR, 200g blueberries, 100g strawberry jam
    4. 10 caramel rice cakes, 80g honey, 100g jam
    5. 175g COR, 200g blueberries, 100g strawberry jam

I don’t like to usually drink and eat carbs together on a flight as it makes me hold water. So the whole scenario was far from ideal, luckily we managed to not hold too badly. Although it probably did effect the look a little. But I think considering the variables the look was good.

On Sunday – morning of the show I did 100g from Cor and honey and 100g carb from sweets, then 50g carb from sweets pre stage and as I was pumping up. Which deffo helped me with the pump tbf.

When I came off stage i was pretty tired and worked hard so had a little rest, then had another Cor meal with honey, some rice cakes and then chilled. About 2 hours out from finals I started to just casually graze on sweets to feel – keeping midsection tight and controlled and posing every 45/60 mins or so to keep things moving.

Anyway, managed to take second and the guy that won was 135kg on stage and won his pro card. He was a unit! Great bloke though lol. Another epic weekend in the books.

Got one more show now in 2 weeks in Portugal! So the show goes on… ?

SHOW DAY – so today I’m doing the 2bros TBJP nutrition cup regional. This WASNT planned. I should be in Sweden doing the pro qualifier there but found out midweek I hadn’t done another regional so I couldn’t go. Anyway, new plan. I’m competing today … then going straight to the airport to fly Sweden at 2pm. And then competing in Sweden tomorrow morning. Maaaadness. Had to speak to a few people to pull some strings because I’ve obv missed the sweden registration as it was Friday (yesterday). Going to be a crazy 24 hours or so but this is what I live for. Chasing my dreams LFG ?

Bit of a nightmare that bud but just shows how bad you want it!

Hope all goes well with the hectic schedule and you get the result tomorrow

    Thank you my man

Many variable to take into consideration here – the goal. Output. Food. Drugs… cardio is just one piece of the puzzle that can’t be manipulated.

When fat loss stalls. Something needs to change – whether that is more cardio, less food etc is person and situation dependent 🙂
