    I’m the same as you buddy. I sit lower and feel stronger here – so long as you feel the movement in the intended muscle, then it doesn’t matter. It will be different for everyone.

    I think you answered your own question there bud. The gut will be pulling blood for it to work effectively meaning less blood/oxygen/glycogen for the working muscles meaning Less of a pump and of course impacted performance which is not optimal. Digest your food first and then train. This amount of time will differ person to person and of course based on the amount of food you actually eat.

    So my penultimate leg day today and trained with jimmy at ultra flex. Was a good session. Low volume with no forced reps or intensifiers at this stage to allow for adequate recovery

    The session was:

    Lying ham x 2
    Leg ext x 1
    Hack x 1
    Single leg press x 1
    Kneeling ham curl x 1
    Adductor x 1

    We also did ALOT of posing which has taken it out of me tbf. But getting better now everyday. 13 days out now and really looking forward to getting on stage and battling it out with the best of Britain!

    You can deffo still get a good workout in. Perhaps for a shorter period of time you could do a body part split until you find a new gym. That way you know you can batter a single muscle group in an hour. If recovery allows it then you can incorporate drops and rest pauses to increase volume. It may seem a little like ‘pump’ training but probs better than a lot less imo

    If it was me I wound do 2 on 1 off 2 on. So you only train 4 but you will recover adequately
    Training 5 in a row and your training will suffer from my experience
    Probably look at doing upper/lower imo

    Hey Joe, I was thinking about doing an upper lower but I am having trouble figuring out where to put deads and squats (really want to build my deadlift this off season). I have class after work Wednesday’s and Thursdays so those two days I definitely won’t be able to make it to the gym to train. I was thinking maybe
    Friday: Density day
    Saturday: Push
    Sunday: rest
    Monday: pull
    Tuesday: legs
    Wednesday,Thursday: rest
    Do you think that could work? If not I’m open to suggestions on upper lower as well.

    I like that idea a lot actually, never thought of that. What would you recommend for a push “top up” and should it be done before leg work or after? Leg days are typically a ham curl variation, squat variation, leg press variation, quad isolation or weakness movement, and another ham/glute movement. Maybe add some over head pressing, dips, and tri isolation at the end?

    Well I wound say afterward as that’s the main focus of the session. You don’t want anything taking away from that. Yeah you won’t been crazy volume for the push top up, depends what your weaknesses are for exercise selection – 4-6 sets max

    So my weight was up again today to 114.9 which is a crazy. The new GH and extra anadrol are doing bits! Feeling super full but also nicely lean. Excited to pull the water and get peeled for stage

    You also need to check all of the variable. Did you sleep the same? Did you train at the same time of the day? Did you have the same amount of meals before your workout as last time? Are you hydrated? Are you recovered.

    You don’t just ‘lose’ strength, so the likelihood is that one or more of the variables is out.

    Big pull session today felt so good. Still pulling 6 plates plus at just over 2 weeks out. Strength is there and so is the muscle. Happy days.

    Weight is up today too after upping gh and adding in more anadrol. Back to work

    So weight was up this morning to 112.3kg so a nice raise, and felt much fuller too. Is a rest day today and I’ve had some chiro and also a deep tissue massage so actually feel pretty battered ngl

    Big pull day tomorrow as always excited to get in and fuck shit up, especially seeing as my strength is still so good.

    Agreed with what the guys say the priming for a compound. I did find that my whole quad when I did the leg press following the extension was firing. Like I got off the leg press and I felt every single fibre. I think so long as it doesn’t detriment your pressing too much then it’s a great shout but as we know mechanical tension is the biggest driver of hypertrophy so at the end of the day you must still be lifting heavy.

    So last night I had five guys and large chips and tonight I’ve just had large papa johns. My weight dropped after the burger hence the pizza today. Body seems to be burning everything up right now and firing on all cylinders. Intrigued if my weights drops again tomorrow! Surely not after that pizza!! We shall see.

    Also steps now down to 8k and anadrol up to 100mg/day 🙂
