Was a really good session tbf, still holding good strength and the volume of the session was perfect compared to how I feel – so should recover nicely. And now we let the legs relax and come in nice and sharp over the next few days before the show. Feeling good 🙂

MemberSeptember 1, 2020 at 9:16 pm in reply to: Joe’s Classic to Open Class BodybuilderVery much needed rest day today and I feel great for it. Got lots of work done, had some deep tissue too on my legs which was great.
I have another deep tissue session Friday evening and then my final leg session on Saturday so we have a whole week then for them to recover for the show and dry out. Volume will be low for sure on that session.
Into the final 10 days tomorrow and really feeling excited now. Can’t wait to showcase what I’ve been working so hard to build this past year

I’m the same as you buddy. I sit lower and feel stronger here – so long as you feel the movement in the intended muscle, then it doesn’t matter. It will be different for everyone.

I think you answered your own question there bud. The gut will be pulling blood for it to work effectively meaning less blood/oxygen/glycogen for the working muscles meaning Less of a pump and of course impacted performance which is not optimal. Digest your food first and then train. This amount of time will differ person to person and of course based on the amount of food you actually eat.

The session was:
Lying ham x 2
Leg ext x 1
Hack x 1
Single leg press x 1
Kneeling ham curl x 1
Adductor x 1We also did ALOT of posing which has taken it out of me tbf. But getting better now everyday. 13 days out now and really looking forward to getting on stage and battling it out with the best of Britain!

You can deffo still get a good workout in. Perhaps for a shorter period of time you could do a body part split until you find a new gym. That way you know you can batter a single muscle group in an hour. If recovery allows it then you can incorporate drops and rest pauses to increase volume. It may seem a little like ‘pump’ training but probs better than a lot less imo
