Rest day today was very welcomed – need to catch up on my sleep and actually had a daytime nap today (this isn’t uncommon lol)

Off to Rotherham tomorrow to Kuba’s gym for the pro muscle seminar. Really looking forward to that and to see the guys so should be a lot of fun ???? going to train legs with Kuba and Jamie too on Sunday, can’t wait to try out ultra flex the place looks madness!!

A lot of the top Bodybuilders don’t even peak until beyond 34 so don’t worry man. You can achieve ALOT in 6 months alone let alone 3 years. Log book wound be my biggest piece of advice – progress it at all time, when Progress stalls, you alter or swap the movement.

Fall in love with the process and it won’t feel like such a Waiting game 🙂

Go check them out and if you’re interested in trying some out then let me know and I can get you a discount code I’m sure ????

Doesn’t necessarily have to be from carbs. You want to reduce KCALS … doesn’t really Matter where they go from. Personally I like carbs so would keep them high around the training window and pull kcals from the meals furthest from training.

I usually keep protein fairly untouched for myself and clients and okay with kcals from carbs and fats.

Also there is no set number or percentage to aim for. You adjust, track progress (visually and log book) then repeat. Simples 🙂

Deffo helps if you have a coach or someone to do this for you ????

Thanks Joe, definitely helps. I’ll structure my training similarly to that starting next week, just sprinkling one chest fly movement into the shoulder day and one side delt movement into the chest day.

Yeah man that’s actually advised as you can look at them as ‘push’ and not just ‘chest’ or ‘shoulders’ so that’s all good dude. They’re both In my sessions too ????

What’s up guys! Ok so little tip from me. And this is great all year round so it’s useful when on prep or on off season.

Get your self a white board to write your means on. How many times have you been prepping meals and had to stop to check your phone to see what weight of oats or chicken or whatever it is your prepping?? … if it’s there on your white board it’s so easy to refer to and doesn’t slow prepping down.

Thank me later .. check out my white board in the pic

I’ve recently put one on the wall in my kitchen. No more trying to find out where the scrap bit of paper with the cooked weight on it went. Life saver ????

Hi Joe, saw that you did a leg-pull session, was trying to find the split you use at the moment but wasn’t able to…

How do you structure it? And do you have a set schedule weekly or do your days rotate?

I’m currently doing Pull Push Rest Legs Rest, but it would be really useful if i could have set rest days each week.

Ok so I was in a set week and my split was as follows:
    Mon – Biceps and Back
    Tuesday – Rest
    Wed – Delts and Tris
Thurs – Back and Legs (Leg-Pull)
    Fri – Rest
    Sat – Biceps and chest
    Sun – Legs

However these sessions with JP and Corinne were taking near on 3 hours so I’ve come back to training by myself and will be following a new PPL split that JP is currently writing for me (I’ll post it here when it’s done)

So the structure for the leg pull session is in my log book but to the best of my memory ability it goes along the lines of…

    Vertical pull down
    Deadlift
    Chest supported row
    Lying leg curls
    Pendulum
    Adductor
    Standing calf

    Hope that helps bud ????

Exactly the answer I expected to hear. Congrats, you passed the test!

Never understand when people give a specific weight for offseason goals or comp weight. Until you hit it, you never know and more likely than not you’ll cut yourself short and cut progress pre-maturely.

Appetite’s a good way of regulating it and the best feedback tool when pushing up. Doesn’t work so well for prep, especially near the end as you’re alllwwwaaayyss hungry.

Are you still training with the bosses?

Haha I’m good at tests ????

Yeah and when people do it based on scale weight they end up getting fat ????‍♂️

Agreed, appetite is your best indicator and mines very good at the moment so I’m happy

Not training with them just now because the RIR sessions were often taking over 3 hours to complete but I’m sure we will do again at some point ????

Yeah that’s a cool goal to have but it can’t be rushed. So have it as a goal with no time limit buddy. Don’t stress yourself trying to get ready for a date. You’ll be ready when your ready. Which may be sooner or may be later than that date. Just enjoy the Process and keep ticking them boxes buddy ????

Nice paella gains brah, holding some respectable condition still. In terms of bodyweight, what’s the goal of weekly gain and perhaps the top ceiling you’re willing to push before a mini cut? Generally for most, it’s around 20-30lbs over stage weight but you never know.

Thanks my man! Hard to give a specific number I think so long as it’s always moving up then I’m happy. I’ll probs do a mini cut when appetite take a hit, then we can pull back a bit and reassess. But this will be assessed as we go and hard to make it a definite time/answer – hope that kind of answers ha
