I would deffo look at increasing carbs around the workout Window and use foods that digest well with you. For me that’s bagels and baby rice and rice. But use what works for you.
You could also increase your cals on a rest day with some higher fats as your carbs will be lower.

We have 5 Hack sets and 5 leg press sets with the RIR of 2, 1, 1, 1, 0 – so ending basically at failure. But with ridiculous volume. This is going to be very very hard. I’ll report back later

Utilising the current RIR approach we’re now coming to the end of week 2 and volume has been increased while the RIR of each set has been reduced. On most exercises we’re starting with a 2 RIR and then the remaining sets with be a 1 RIR – this is much higher intensity that leaving 3/4 in reserve but also still allows adequate recovery to hit 3/4 working sets which result is increased overall total volume.
We filmed today and Jordan explained a lot about how we’re using the RIR approach but have now adapted it to suit our needs. Should be a good video, out soon ????

For your workouts, how many reps are you doing ?
Hey mate that will just be the number of sets I haven’t given a specific number of reps in most examples. Usually between 8-12 with a back off of 10-15 – both sets to failure.
However I am currently running the RIR approach.

Hi mate, how have you found the transition to off season in terms of mentality. Spending a long time with fat loss being the goal to now muscle/weight gain being the primary objective?Honestly bud I’ve loved it. Stayed on cycle so food has been a breeze (5k calories training day) … training is just Amazing, very strong. And my overall mindset is that I need to grow to win so I am very very happy just doing the necessary.
Feel nice and big and full but still acceptably lean so I’m happy. Have you ever struggled with this period?
That’s great to hear mate! Sounds like motivation and mindset is right where it needs to be!! Losing condition is always tough for me, I know I need to gain size but last off season I gained a little too much body fat – this time will be more measured and cardio will be kept in. Can’t wait to see your gaining phase Joe, next show WILL be your pro card![/quote]
Thanks for that bud, I’ll make sure next show will be pro worthy. Obv can’t control who else turns up but I’ll be fucking good 🙂 hahaYeah man just try your best to stick to your diet and reverse out properly post show (this is hard for sure) – deffo a good idea to keep cardio in for sure. Thanks again man

Hi Joe,
Just a question. I see you always opt for baby rice opposed to oats or cream of rice? Apart from ease of digestion is there any other reasons? I’m currently on prep and finding cream of rice bloats me slightly now as for PWO meal I have 85g of oats or 60g cream of rice. Any tips, advice would be great
Cheers

Well mainly it’s digestion tbh, not many other reasons. I like the way it cook/mixes too compared to the others it’s so smooth. I make mine with boiling water and then mix it into a really smooth paste and then add whey – consistency and texture is amazing budtb-jp.com/collections/clothing - The most anabolic clothing ever! |

Yeah a lot of the time it’s just a case of suck it up. If you wanna get lean then you won’t be feeling ‘full’ very often. However some diet hacks could include – swapping kcals to eat more Greek yog as it’s low is calories and does actually fill you up. Also sugar free jellies and drinking more water. They’re some of my faves

It’s the same as how some people can get away with zero cardio, but some need 2 hours per day. Just find the right path for you with methods that work for you (don’t worry about what works for others), be consistent and you’ll get shit done ????

MemberAugust 6, 2019 at 11:33 pm in reply to: Joe’s Classic to Open Class BodybuilderHey Joe,
How long are you planning to cruise for and what will be your dosage. I’m currently cruising on 250ml of test E for 8 weeks, never tried this approach before so interested to see how it plays out. Also I hear a lot of athletes using masteron on a bulking cycle I always used it pre contest, is it something you now do? Would it be to keep the estrogen levels in check ?
Loving the videos, the one of you returning to talk to the school kids was inspirational, That’s what the sport should be about.
RegardsJames
Hey James thanks for the nice comments bud. Well I’m currently not on a cruise. We’re continuing to blast at 750mg test e and 700 mast e to take full advantage of this rebound phase. This will allow me to eat more. Train harder and longer and generally build more muscle – which is what my feedback was. (Need to be bigger) … I’ll cruise 7 weeks post show on 3/350mg test e for 8 weeks, get bloods and if all good blast and push again. 125kg is the goal this off season (whilst being lean ish)
Mast isn’t an AI but it has AI properties so will help when running higher test on cycle. Also means you don’t age to run as high an AI if you weren’t using mast. Hope that helps bud ????____________________________

Dom’s isn’t a sign of whether you’ve worked hard or not, it’s a sign your recovery is poor.
Something like 10-15 sets of abs per week would Suffice for most people imo
