MemberFebruary 9, 2025 at 6:11 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProMuch needed rest day today been feeling a little smashed from training so I enjoy a Sunday of rest. Getting things ready for the week ahead and can do it all over again. Just under 8 weeks out now and things are ticking along nicely.
Just cardio and steps today. And watching the last of the 6 nations games for this week. Have of course been loving it and buzzing for England to take that massive win over France too!

Similar to what the guys have said liquid-easy digestible carbs are going to be sweet here
Look at nailing 500-1000ml water upon wake with hydration and 20g mps
Then during training 20g eaa and however much intra is appropriate for your diets needs for example 60g sustain.
If you also have a decent Size meal pre bed you’ll get some carry over from that too.

MemberFebruary 8, 2025 at 10:16 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProRan probs my most boring session today
Hams gluts and 1 quad
Sessions was
Adductor
Lying ham
Kneeling single leg ham
Seated ham
Smith heavy glute drive
Leg extNothing crazy just straight sets – annoying as where I tore my hamstring late 2023 I still can’t full send hams so seems like I’m just going through the motions for 3 exercises in this session but it needs to be done.
It’s not all pbs and sexy training. Sometimes you just have to do what needs to be done.
Rest day tomorrow before we do it all over again next week.

MemberFebruary 7, 2025 at 10:54 pm in reply to: Optimal jab frequency & typeI would deffo avoid glute shots. Especially with this smaller amount of oil.
Slin pins IM all day. Delts/lats/arms is what I do.
I’d draw the weeks worth into one larger barrel then split it into the slin pins.
200 test and 200 primo is about 2ml is depending what lab you’re using. I’d do 4×1/2 ml jabs. Higher inj frequency is better to avoid hormonal spikes etc – also helps keep my skin clearer.

MemberFebruary 7, 2025 at 10:50 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProLeg day today first one back since being ill and had a very good session.
Few changes to the plan too.
Sust out, prop in.
Clen in 20mcg/day
Ketotifen in 2mg EOD
Proviron in 100mg/day split 50/50 am/pm
Halo in 10mg/day pre workout
Time to start spicing things up a bit 🤏
Wil halo stay in constant now till show day ? I don’t tend to see it use regularly this far out is all bud ?
I don’t know but I would imagine so as I’m not using tren – plus bloods were good a few weeks ago so can probs manage the time on it. Or at least, I’m not starting it from an unhealthy place. Fully aware it’s not ‘ideal’ to run for longer periods but boss said so, so im doing. Obv if he pulls it I’ll update here 🙂tb-jp.com/collections/clothing - The most anabolic clothing ever! |

MemberFebruary 3, 2025 at 5:29 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProAwesome session today. Trained with my brother chest and tri. First session back to near full strength again after my illness which lasted nearly 2 weeks. But looking fuller and leaner again sat at 260 – 8 weeks out so I’m happy with that.
Just checked in with Patrick today so will update here if he makes any changes at all.

This is a very complex topic – and you’re asking in the right place l without judgement as other people will just give you crap answers like ‘you just need to want it more’ bla bla bla
It would be wise to try and look at the last few times this has happened and to see if there has been a trigger – no matter how small – tiredness, stress, arguing with a partner, over training… if there even is one. There may not be.
Clare has said some valuable points here – I’d reassess your goals (if this keeps happening) and maybe bring your baseline food up a bit. Obv I don’t know what it’s at, but that could help.
Assuming this is happening when dieting, i drink a lot of water around meal times to help volumise the food in my stomach when food is lower – although this isn’t a ‘cure’ so to speak, it can acutely help in the moment. I do think this type of behaviour is more related to the mental side of things that probably needs some deeper exploration and perhaps working with someone that’s experienced in that field.

MemberFebruary 2, 2025 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProA heavier set of usually 6-10, followed by a slightly lighter set maybe 10/20% lighter for another set. All sets to failure.
Anymore questions bro?
Thanks Joe for your answer. Yes one question, do your workouts change often, like the exercises or do you keep the same routine for several weeks or even months?
I tend to not really change anything at all – I find an exercise selection that suits me and that I enjoy and just keep working at that for as long as I can reallyI’ll only change things if I’m injured or at a different gym – even then I’ll do it as closely as I can to the plan
It’s the best way to keep progressing and getting stronger. If you’re always changing things up you never really reach that ceiling

Not ideal travelling on prep but making sure I have everything I need with me. Up and down in a day this time so no mucking about with packing too much! Rest day as well so works in well.

Yeah a 1-2lb per week depending how big and how lean you were. This is almost harder than dieting down itself as your hunger will be higher and you won’t have the focus of the cut so be sure to stay strong with the process and don’t fuck it. Once it’s fucked, it’s fucked – technical term 😂

MemberJanuary 30, 2025 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Joe Ballinger – IFBB Open ProFirst day back in the gym today. Ngl I felt weak as hell. Of course 😅😅 to be expected. But just going to thane to take a little while to get my numbers back up again. I felt weak and short of breath. I did go to pose after and il be honest. I liked what I saw. Leanest I’ve been on prep, a touch flat through the legs but again. Expected. Cardio and sauna this am was nice too and felt good to get up early and crack on. Same again tomorrow as I rebuild 🙂

Like you say, the positive is that it’s happened NOW and not closer to show day.
Rest up, recover and you’ll be back at it before you know it 💪
Thanks man appreciate that bro starting to feel a little better now and then get back to it tomorrow either way 😂
Hope you’re feeling better too bro!
