    Had a really nice quiet Christmas, it was good, tbh I didn’t actually eat that much! I’ve been eating so much on my diet I almost did the opposite of what everyone else did 😂

    Took it as a chance to eat to satiety and enjoy my food… which was a damn site less than I normally eat haha

    Rest day today as we have a house full for Boxing Day! Then back into the gym tomorrow for the assault on the body for more muscle!

    Absolutely you can. You obviously make sure everything is in the right place with nutrition (decent surplus, but too much you gain unwanted fat)… training to your needs, and a cycle thats inline with your needs and keeps sides to a minimum.

    I wound suggest getting a coach if you don’t already have one 🙂

    In true me tradition lol…. I just finished the tree on Xmas eve 😂 had a good chest/back session earlier. And now finally just sat down to chill. I hope you all have an amazing Christmas and new year ☺️

    1st if a few Xmas rest days today. Visiting family so it’s been a nice day so far

    Food wise I’ll be sticking to my usual foods apart from the odd snack / drink if I fancy it. Xmas day I’ll be stuffing my face from morning till I pass out haha

    While I am off I’ll likely update my diet and cycle for you guys so we are up to date because I was upped my dosages recently to keep pushing

    273 this morning, feel soft but feel big. So all is still on track

    Ugh Christmas shopping today. Ngl just got a massive sweat on and a huge lower back pump. This shit is not good for off season bodybuilders 😂😂

    Alot of shops I just had to leave because it was too hot. Only mug walking around in a tee shirt and shorts hahaha

    Some funny ass looks us bodybuilders get eh

    Sorry guys the app was down for a bit so haven’t been able to post.

    Got another session in at kings. Push on Tuesday before heading back to chelt.

    Again, feeling super strong atm and really enjoying training!

    I will just keep things ticking on as usual over Christmas keeping my food high and meals going in as I lose weight so fast if I eat off plan – funny Cus for most people it’s the other way around 😂

    Really good session up at kings Mitcham yday. Deffo getting very strong now. 7 plate pendulum for 12 reps … deffo got 8 plates in the tank but there’s not room on the machine 😂

    Settling down for the World Cup final now. Olympia last night. What an epic weekend!

    How do you feel at the end of the session? Are you smashed? Can you do more? If you feel next day or two that you’re recovered (like you say), then add a bit more. Repeat process. Tbh probs not even bad to bury yourself once or twice so you actually know what is too much. Then you can make your own decisions 🙂

    With free weights we train our proprioceptive/supporting muscles as well as our bigger muscles which is also incredibly important.

    You may be able to move more load on a fixed machine but remember were bodybuilders, not weight lifters and there’s a big difference. We need to take the pros from each form of exercise and have it carefully planned into our programmes to get the best bang for your buck across all exercises.

    Well… today didn’t go as planned. Driving up to london for a few nights and ended up getting my car stuck in the ice… I planned to train at kings gym Mitcham and I’ve now only just got to London and it’s nearly midnight.

    So, today I haven’t trained but it is what it is. Tomorrow we go again. Up early, work, got a lot of content to film and produce and then I’ll drive to go and train at kings and crack on.

    Got one more meal to have which I’m going to have now, take my supps and get to bed ready to go again.

    Shot happens and when it does. Don’t stress, if you can’t do anything about it, then just crack on. If you can, then take action.

    Finding now as I grow that it’s harder for me to recover at the same rate. I was running 3 on, 1 off, 2 on, 1 off but now I’m finding by the 3rd day on it’s hard to feel ready to go so I’m thinking about moving things about a bit to allow for some better recovery.

    Also booking in for more chiro and soft tissue work as I’m getting deeper into off season 🙏

    I’ve been on gear for 11 years and never aspirated once and I’m still alive so we’re all good. Jokes aside I really don’t think it matters imho

    In for pull today and back on the prime row

    Because I cannot hop hinge anymore because of my back

    I really go after the prime horizontal pull. It’s such a nice piece of kit

    Fully load the mid peg for an all out set, smoothly pulling 7 plates there

    Then split load the top and mid peg for set two to allow for some drop off in the shortened – it just feels so good and am sure will help me add some back thickness

    Also really getting on well with the gym shop single arm pull-down – really allows you to get the lat short, I’m careful here not to go too heavy and lose the connection, I’m focussed internally on not letting it off my lat, extending the arm so my elbow is still slightly bent keeping tension throughout – I’ve had to rest this recently and it feels so much better
