    First full day in vegas today! Full day of travelling yesterday so we ate when we arrived! Won $200 on roulette and got in bed!

    Up early for an early posterior session at dragons lair! All the big boys were in. Nick walker, Charles griffin, Andrew jacked, Matt Jansen, dennis wolf, Milos and flex himself! Such a great place to be in and people to be around

    Got to try a few bits of the arsenal strength kit which felt great. Very heavy. And meet flex which was awesome.

    Did some posing with Alix made sure she relaxed and just keeps eating!! As much as possible!

    Push day today. Feeling very strong now and sitting at 270, I think weight is about to take a little jump up and I’m here for it.

    Feeling good and healthy, obviously being heavy isn’t all that fun. Some small joint pains but that comes with the territory. I deffo need to do more mobility but I’ve started doing a bit and also being ontop of my chiro an soft tissue work too.

    Looking after the body is just as important as building it.

    Legs are in BITS today 😂 proper good session yday! Always takes a bigger hit when I train at another gym as the stimulus is different. But feels really good!

    Going to bang in a five guys tonight as well for no other reason than I want to 😂

    I’m currently running a once variation split. But tbh, what do you prefer? What’s more enjoyable? That one will likely yield better results.

    Just on the way back from Manchester now. Had an amazing day seeing the boys. Trained legs with big Mike at FLF – great session. 6 plate Atlantis pendulum for 8 which I was happy with considering I haven’t used one in ages and not used to it. After legs, me nath Oscar and Haran went to MNKY HSE for food which was unreal! Such a good place and ambiance. But the company and chat was even better. I value days and people like these so so much. Happy rn.

    It’s cooks also be dependent on how much you need one. If you’re totally mashed then maybe a good few days off would do. Or if you’re just noticing some general fatigue you could keep training and lower your volume by around 50% or so and keep a rep or so in reserve – basically don’t take sets to absolute failure – you won’t be looking for progression here.

    Hey Joe I would have one question. Did your calories always have to be pushed as hard in order to put on size or did you have an easier time putting on muscle at the beginning of your journey.

    I’m just curious cause I have to push the calories pretty high(relative to my weight) myself in order to gain weight in comparison to others at a similar weight. I would asume you are the same type.

    Hey buddy unfortunately yes, actually being an ectomorph I’ve always found it harder to put muscle on hence food having to be so high.

    Pros and cons, it’s harder to grow but stuck at it and it’ll come – but when you diet it means you can diet on higher foods and not have to hit silly low cals. 🙂

    Before turning to accutane there’s a few other options you can look at

    My first port of call would be to look at increasing your antioxidant status to lower systemic stress by adding things like metformin, melatonin, green tea extract, zinc, magnesium, some of which you’re already using.

    From here you can look at using some localised washes like benzyl peroxide to reduce localised inflammation

    Use sun beds

    You can then look into the tetracyclines – usually a 3 month or so course of these

    Then if no luck with any of this you can look down the accutane route

    Hey Joe, i was just wandering about that high fat intake alongside with your pre meal and the slin. Of course it’s a calorie bump but I always thought you should avoid fats alongside with insulin because of the fat uptake/fat cell or am I wrong here? What’s the thoughts behind that If you don’t mind asking ✌️

    You can still have your insulin with fats, of course it’ll slow down the uptake of the carbs slightly, but also at the end of the day it’s a bit of a needs must when cals are this high. Sometimes we have to bend the rules so to speak when pushing things at this level. Ideally I’d also be having more veg etc but tbh once again volume is so high they just take the hit, optimal isn’t always possible haha

    Did an overnight fishing session on Wednesday night so limited phone signal unfortunately.

    Got down to physique warehouse afterwards and showered BEFORE I trained haha. Leg session looked like this:

    Squat 275×4

    Pause Squat 225×3

    Squat 165×8

    Leg Extensions (drop sets)

    Back Extension (drop sets)

    Lying leg curl (drop sets)

    Calf raise series – 3 sets

    Solid session and we saw some improvement in the squats. Keeping the volume low as I have a big events session tomorrow. The assistance work was all a top set to failure followed by 2 drop sets.

    Feeling ready for a big events session tomorrow – time to get ready for Britain’s Strongest Man.

    Overnight fishing sounds so wholesome I want to come next time hahaha

    Do you have to throw them back or can you keep them?

    Absolutely zero bodybuilding related info in my questions I know 😂

    Yeah I have a Ninja XL. It’s a beast. I use 500ml water and then all the ingredients and voila haha. It actually takes a while to digest and ‘sit’ but doesn’t feel bad. But I need to have the bulk oats otherwise it ruins me and makes me gassy as hell. But this option is perfect.

    Occasionally I get it when using tren. Currently using test mast primo and don’t get anything. Like max says, it’s a bit of a minor and happens to a lot of people. Obviously if the cough is actually bad then that’s not good but doesn’t sound that way.
