Alongside changing the exercise, I would recommend you look into WHY your wrists are hurting. Without an answer here, it could be possible that changing the exercises might not actually make a difference, it might make it a little more comfortable for a small amount of time, but if the injury is always in the background you might not be able to get the most out of whatever exercise you decide to go with. Get yourself in with a good sports therapist, massage therapist or physio and explain whats been causing the issue, pain you’re experiencing , triggers etc. From here they’ll be able to guide you correctly regarding rehab protocols. I hope this helps.

I personally keep fats low to mod around my training window (as I do for clients aswell ) for the same reasons mentioned above – I want those carbs to be as readily available as possible and to limit anything that might cause any digestive issues.

Hey team! I hope everyone is good! a steady day here tbh! Pull this morning was very steady, couple of movements progressed with some staying around the same rep ranges and weight which I’m happy with given the fact I had to remove certain movements because I couldnt stabilise with my foot being fucked – so back in this week and matching numbers which I’m happy with. This afternoon / evening my partner and I are staying in a little hut in north Wales in the middle of no where which I’m looking forward too! Just a mini staycation if you will! Rest day tomorrow, long walk on the beach and some check ins when home!

Cronometer is THE BEST – always recommend this to clients over MFP.

Rest day completed and I’m feeling raring to go tomorrow! Felt a little dodgy this morning but as the day went on . starting feeling a little more like myself! I have pull in the morning, then me and my partner are going away for a night in a little cabin in Wales – which I’m very excited for! Into another day we go!

The young Sara would just find a way to lift it – no matter how she did it. However I was always injured. Since learning and becoming more experience I now lift with control and through full range – finding that happy medium . Like Kuba said , controlled with power. Since doing this , my growth has been ten fold.

Then the rest of the dat was spent in the warehouse and working on clients ! Tomorrow is a rest day and usual shifts at work! Nothing too crazy!

I haven’t hinged in years because of a previous injury. Not doing hinges doesn’t mean you can progress your posterior chain. Utilising hyperextensions and variations of curls will still generate growth, if something hurts then I would advise against doing it.

Learning how to brace and breathe correctly in a set is very important. The bracing aspect keeps us stable, safe and protects the spine. The breathing aspect, well , we kinda need to breathe! So yes both can affect your performance if not done correctly .

So I’m honestly so happy ! I’ve got an early legs session in the morning which I’m looking forward to the a couple of new starters to get on board! Into another week we go!

I would sit here for a little while , assess as you go 🙂 don’t want to just throw calories up all of a sudden!

You’ve mentioned already as to why this session might not have been the best – you didn’t eat as much food – there’s your answer. We all have sessions that might not be as good as other ones, but that doesn’t mean we’ve lost all our muscle. It’s one session, we move on and go into the next.

so! busy last couple days here ! Posterior went very well yesterday ! about now I’ve been able to load my foot fully – so loaded up the pendulum (had to swap this with my squat press as the squat press was being used – so will do this on legs) and managed to hit the same weight pre injury and holiday and hit it for 3 more reps the before so was super happy with this! Today I have upper, so will be hoping for some more big numbers. Trained very late last night , so didn’t want to go straight into another session this early morning , so training a little later today then an evening chilling with my partner. I have a client competing tomorrow so will be travelling for that early does, but she’s looking ace and I’m VERY excited to see her on stage! Should be good!!

Today was a veryyyy good day! Push this morning was flying – headphones on and in the zone – very happy with how this session went , so hoping we continue on this trajectory now I’m down to just Femtest (this is at 4.5mg per week) tomorrow morning I’m in for posterior , my foot was agony today so might have to do some more BFR work tomorrow on lower compounds but we shall see!! Then off to see a client who’s 2 weeks out! Which is very exciting! Xxx
