Another client show day in the bag! My classic lad Taylor got 2nd in his class and then 3rd in class 2 (cause he wanted to jump in with the big boys!) It was an awesome day and I honestly couldnt be more proud of him!!
Now to peak my athletes for the week ahead in the run up to the British and i’m super excited for this one!

Thankyou so much for getting those done for me! So in my honest opinion, you need to focus on the entire physique not specific areas of it. You have a great little base to work from, it just needs more of a focus on bringing up everything.
What is your current split? 🙂

Hey Lee! Hope you’re well ! What rehab protocols did the physios give you? and did they all say that it could be a tendinitis ? 🙂

Pull done and dusted today! Seeing all the Olympia updates has me super buzzed for next year! Hoping to be there myself representing the UK!
Tomorrow I’m at a client show doing the do and losing my voice as per usual! Wouldn’t have it any other way!

Hey Bray! Welcome to the site! Have you got any full body pictures ? As these ones don’t really tell the whole story.
I would get a black backdrop to start with and find an area of suitable lighting – even invest in a ring light if needed. . From here I would do relaxed back, front and side shots, and if comfortable enough, do some poses like the ones in the pictures already popped on here but just as a full body shot instead – so we can all give you an appropriate reply based on what we’re seeing! The more information we can gather from someone looking to improve their physique the better!

Agree with Peter here – Plenty people do IM every day without any issues 🙂

Another very good day of training and client work!!
Legs today was an absolute blinder – so another session in the bag that I’m happy with! Adductor work is a still a little tame due to previous niggle in my hip – but thats getting better as the days go by!
Motivated by the Olympia obviously! Busy weekend of clients shows, hoping to bring home another trophy for the team this weekend so we shall see! Pull in the morning then its into another week! Excited doesn’t even cut it!

One thing I’ve done is actually cut my time down between warm up sets – so instead of resting between warm up sets – I take a quick breather then go into the next warming set – repeat this until feeling good for my first working where I’ll properly rest prior to going 110%
you’ll be surprised how much time is saved just from cutting down the resting on your warm up sets!

Upper done and completed today!! Shoulders were a little niggly today again which was a little bugger tbh but nothing a couple hours lying on a lacrosse ball won’t help! they’ve been a little more on the sticky side since being bigger, so a little more emphasis on the shoulders when I go to massage but other then that the session was good and the pump was MAD – so can’t complain!!
Legs tomorrow so big rest up tonight and get ready for the session!

In all honestly my lovely – if this is working and you’re seeing consistent progression (in which you’ve also amended to ensure that weaker areas are being brought up), then why change it! If it ain’t broke , don’t fix it!

So one thing that can cause BG to rise during training is the stimulation of stress hormones like Adrenaline ( heavy lifting, competitive sports, sprints/general cardio – almost any sport really!) – Adrenaline raises blood glucose levels by stimulating your liver to release glucose.
You can move your training/cardio to slightly later in the day as something called the dawn phenomenon can effect your BG levels via a natural rise in blood glucose which typically occurs between about 4:00 and 8:00 a.m., which evidentially can result in higher levels during morning exercise. The same workout done later in the day is less likely to result in a rise. But given the fact your BG readings upon waking are in a good spot , this might not changes this toooooooo much, but still it might be effecting this.
See if changing workout/cardio times helps those BG levels – like a trial and error experiment.
Lets us know if that helps! But its very likely the stress hormone response causing those BG levels to rise .

Another day , another dollaaaaaaa
A stand out posterior session completed today, very happy with how that went! The atmosphere was electric in the gym today aswell which helped to flick that switch. I bloody love the feeling of the switch being well and truly flipped – best feeling ever!
Upper session tomorrow – so fuelling up for that – already very excited for it!

Totally agree with Michaela here – Top set for me is the heavier load , back off is a slightly lighter load to ensure I can get even more out of my sets.
I havent always trained this way though, I have done previously the same rep range for multiple sets, so really, as long as you’re putting 110% into the sets themselves , do what you feel is most beneficial to you.

One thing i’ve found to help post show or post diet is to fill meals with plenty of veggies and to keep nice and hydrated – veggies provide a good amount of fibre which can help with keeping you fuller for longer and can also bulk out meals.
But as both Kuba and JP stated , hunger comes and goes, keep yourself busy and think about that goal at hand!
