Lat pain can sometimes present down the tricep, as well as in the shoulder and back, so this could be a possibility. You may simply need to go and get treatment to strip the area and loosen up the muscle, particularly as it’s on both sides. It could also be an overuse injury or caused by poor technique. Either way, I would book yourself into a reputable therapist to go and get an assessment and treatment.

In the mean time, avoid anything that causes pain and try some gentle stretches (If pain free).

Only you can know what feels safe and the risk to reward benefit. Do you have a pt that you get routine body work from to assess if there’s something that can be resolved that way?

The form Is generally good but saw now that it was a little bit more back bending in the first set, last reps.

Thx for the reply, I’m sure I can get around this😊

    Hi mate

What rep ranges are you working with on your RDL?

Hi, rep range 6-12, I only feel it in the first heavy set.

    Thanks for the answer!

Do you have videos to see if anything slips from the lighter to the heavier sets?[/quote]
I filmed it and I saw now that it’s a bit more bending in the back on the first set, today I’m sore in the erectors so I think it’s fine. If I just progress the weight a little bit slower so my lower back can keep up🤔 Thx for the reply!

Is this weird sensation muscular or spinal? Any pain or discomfort running down your legs?

Hi thx for the answer, i think its just the muscle. hard to say right now, its not going down to the legs in some way.

Hey buddy! Where in your workout are you doing this movement? Are you doing any rehab before your workouts? Might be an idea to start off with 10 mins of mobility work beforehand.

    Hello there!
The movements I’m doing before the pec deck are: side lateral, low incline, shoulder press and dips. Before i start my work out i do 2-3 mins of cardio just the get some blood flow. I also do some movements for the rotator cuffs after my side lateral. As well as a light chest fly for some more blood flow. Hope this answers your question!

It’s a lat movement , the aspect of the lat imo isn’t relevant , as all of it is gonna work

    Thank you Jordan!

Purely from a hypertrophy standpoint controlling eccentrics will yield more,

It also depends where you put it in your programming, leg day = control them, back day probably better off dropping as it will smoke your hamstring if you do control which may then impact your leg day
