    LEGS
    That session has written me off all day tbf ..but then again I don’t expect any different. Double dose of halcyon in with first dose immediately post workout & second dose just before bed.
    Very productive session, everything ? …..a very good day in the office, cannot complain. A full day rest tomorrow and treatments that are very well needed .

    Both are tools and it depends how they are used . That will determine what you get from them .
    Your biomechanics, shoulder health will also have a bit of a say . All individual.
    But I won’t say one is better than the other .

    CHEST AND BICEPS
    Not the best of sleep last night. Very unsettled through the night . I do not know why as my bedtime rituals remained the same . I cannot wait for the new supplement ‘dream sleep’ as I feel that’ll really help . I’ve had a few of these nights , not daily but randomly.
    That being said , I have had a great workout. An extra scoop of ‘prepare’ and the unsettled night meant my emotions were on the surface so was able to summon them when needed on my presses . When I can get myself to the thin line of being really wound up and crying but not leaning on either side just staying in the middle , I can get into a set and legit not feel the weight till I’m on the latter reps of the set. To bring myself to that spot I have to go back to some not so good places and it does leave me drained after to be honest . But I am not doing and haven’t done heavy pulls from the floor for a long while so not needed to go there. But on days like today I have to go to those places , to remind myself of my humble beginnings, and where it is I am going & how far away I’m from the target . And that in itself will get the job done.
    All my presses up by 2.5kg & reps matched or beaten . The work has been done , and sometimes it’s not pretty but we do it by all means necessary. No victim mentality, pick up the heaviest thing in life , that my friends is ‘RESPONSIBILITY’ . I’m a working progress but that’s my main aim to fully take responsibility of everything in my life.
    I’m rambling now so I’ll stop and get my post workout meal .

    REST DAY
    As promised I had a good lie in..& felt very good for it . The day was spent meeting and having a catch up with a friend over the man united V Man City football match . Good day all round .
    We begin the work again tomorrow, the pursuit to be better than what we were today . 🙂

    It is very effective and like every other movement what you get from it will depend on your execution. Remember all these are just tools , it boils down to how you use them.
    In terms of logistics as rich mentions above it gets tricky as you get stronger . This is one of them movements that you almost need a training partner to pass you one dumbbell as you pick the other .
    But if all is good at this moment, push on… once risks start outweighing rewards then rotate the movement.

    I live for sessions like this … I tell you .. that’s not me bragging but that’s me relishing the challenge that training your back represents. That’s why there’s not many great backs about , mine included. And for me Phil Heath has the perfect back , it’s the one I look at and go ??. These pull sessions demands you are switched on, they demand you leave your ego at the door, they demand you do a double take of everything, they demand humility.
    Great session this morning & during these sessions I don’t even take pump power. Just a pre workout becausei like to get a pump just from being accurate with the contractions, the loaded holds, loaded stretches, perfect changes in direction.
    Like a sniper feeling different parts nailed while you move off to the next one , usually movements zig zag from lat to upper back to lay to upper back and finish off with traps & rear delts with biceps tagged at the end.
    Well deserved day off tomorrow, I plan to have a lie in tomorrow.

    I’d literally look at what labs you been using , if it’s legit lab then it’s a case of coming off till you get it sorted.
    I’d also perhaps get some bloods done

    This looks good , the only movement I’d change is that behind the neck smith press just to a high smith incline press my man .. run the rotation see if you recover well and if so rinse it. If not come back here and we will help .
