There isn’t a straight forward answer buddy but signs you should possibly take a deload are
•lack of a pump
•interrupted sleep
•feeling fatigued & lack of motivation to train
•Decreased performance
•lack of good contractions
Then at that point you will have to options , either to
•Devolume- cut volume by 50% for a full rotation.
OR

BACK & BICEPS
I was ready for this one , I couldn’t stop thinking about it since yesterday. Not because of nerves or anything, I was just excited.
And nail it I did this morning, I’d visualised everything & really felt one with the movements.
I enjoy training back , because it’s hard to nail . That’s why you don’t see many people with amazing backs . So I am always dialled in, and always aware of what the goal of every movement is.
The plan starts with a lat movement, and because your elbow path will dictate which muscle you hit, elbows are tucked and pulled ‘down’ and ‘around’ the hip .
Once we get to upper back then elbows are pulled back and aim here is to retract the scapula .
The pump was very very loyal today . Absolutely love it.
A day of rest tomorrow and we’ll be back for a big push session. : )

PUSH
Very good session earlier today . Shoulders felt very fluid which meant the presses were smoother as a result. I train first thing so a lot of mobility to start as I prepare the shoulders for the pressing that’s to come .
I got 3 sets of pec Dec before my first chest press so by the time I get to the incline press both joints and muscle are ready.
Loafing wise im not pressing heavier than when I had the press as my first movement but the movement feels miles better and I’m pressing from a very very deep spot & that my friends has been all the difference as it reflects on my top line . I’d advise if your shoulders are healthy , don’t dock the depth , go where you are weak at the very bottom and press from there. Go where it’s very hard and challenge that range, go where others will not go and work there , go where others will not go because they want 6 plates with shallow depth for their video on Instagram, you take 4 plates or less and create novel stimulus by taking the muscle through full ROMS, by perfect changes in direction from eccentric to concentric & if you don’t trust yourself do a bit of dead stop or paused reps to get used to it and to get disciplined. I promise it will pay off.

It could be anything, from 0.5kg, 1kg,1.25kg,2.5kg,5kg… however your focus shouldn’t be on this as much as it should be on your execution.
The lower the jump the more chances you have of not only progressing from the last rotation but keeping everything execution wise standard.

REST DAY
A good day all round ….productive. Got up normal time did admin 6:30-8:30… then went for my normal morning walk . On return had meal 2 followed by a nap .
This afternoon has been spent cooking and listening to podcasts.
Went for another walk . Now I’m sitting bin watching Gomorrah.

As Jordan mentioned a lot of us take this approach. I definitely do it usually on legs & sometimes different movements like dips … for the sake of warming up the knee/elbow/shoulders & preparing them neurally for the load that’s to follow .

DELTS & TRI’S
Another awesome session, I rushed the press a bit snd did not progress, matched my previous reps . I know I rushed into it hence… so I’ll be looking at getting that right next rotation.
I don’t dwell on it and just move on and live to fight another day when stuff like that happens as I think if you dwell on the past you won’t be ready for the next play .
Other than that , the session was very productive… happy with everything else .
