REST DAY
Day one of rest . Just worked and then napped this afternoon. Actually enjoying the rest and looking forward to the next couple of days if I’m honest.

The guys are bang on…also don’t just obsess over body weight. Assess where performance is, if you are progressing body weight is climbing and body composition is holding, then it’s a case of don’t fix it if it ain’t broken 🙂

DENSITY DAY
Hello guys as I mentioned yesterday about feeling like fatigue had caught up with me, Jordan actually beat me to it & text me last night asking how I was feeling re: training.
So plan is 3 day complete rest , and the run next week on baseline volume till we can completely drop fatigue.
We will then resume a proper push forward after that .
I was amped for today but ended up running things at baseline volume as it just wasn’t there for the taking.
There’s no way around fatigue, you just have to simply rest , recover and rest group again .

I think more than working on the shortened range , it’s mostly about safety & preparing the body (the knee to be specific) for the compounds .
The more the body is prepared, the better the body will perform across the session. So to answer your question, no it won’t take away from the compound, it will give to it.

REST DAY
Body is battered , neck is tight . So had a treatment this afternoon to prepare me for tomorrow’s DENSITY DAY.
But generally I feel tired. Coming back to work I suppose is a vice factor in this .
Check in day tomorrow, so I’ll speak to Jordan and workout the best cause of action.
Personally deload does not do much for me in terms of dropping fatigue.
I prefer just a full rest and feel I can drop fatigue quicker that way.
But we’ll see.

DELTS & TRIS
Today was redemption day as I was in the dog house for my ROM & eccentrics after the last rotation. So plan was to reset numbers and improve ROM.
That I did , improved my ROM , eccentrics , sent video to Jordan & it still wasn’t good enough. So another reset next time it is. But already felt the benefits .
So I’ll be looking to improve again next time

Session fantastic today . One of them sessions where I didn’t think it was going to be amazing at the start but once I got going , things just got better and better..very very chuffed .

legs today , top top session apart from one set where my spotter recracked the weight prematurely. I went hysterical. But to be fair to him we’ve only trained together a few times so we are still building chemistry.
Otherwise, session was stellar, took PB’s from the get go .

Reset my movements today in terms of ROM, so Smith low incline press was down 2 reps ..all good though.
We headed the right direction.
Productive workout all together.
Check in day too, weight at 106.5kg .

Both will offer some sort of external stability to some extent but ultimately it’s a case of whether you are able to internaly stabilise as well for you to be able to maximise either..
As rich says brilliantly it’s a consideration when making a choice but not a blanket .
