Clare has hit the nail on the head , make the most of your personal situation..so long as you follow your eating plan. Train hard under high intensity then you should get results. We have seen guys who do night shifts and awkward shifts still make it happen 🙂

It doesn’t matter, what matters is whether you hitting your set macros. If the plan is to weigh it raw which most people do as food looses water when cooked, then that is what you should stick to.. 🙂

I would break the fast with a protein shake, then stick to whole food choices to start with..No desserts or anything sugary just to keep the gut happy.
If you are training I’d keep the sessions no more than 40 minutes, focusing on Heavy lifts & taking long rests.

Hello guys day 7 off training complete…been busy moving house. Though I had a lie in this morning and felt great..got 9 hours straight. Plan to have a nap in the day tomorrow as well.

If you connect with them that’s what’s most important..also it might be worth doing leg extensions (occluded) prior to…that way the knee gets very warm & the quad too.. the movement then acts as a activation or pre exhaust based on how far you want to take it… a warm knee is a happy knee.:)

Hello guys, so day 6 of complete rest..has been spent on moving house. So been busy..and missed my daytime nap.
I have been having two 30 minutes naps where possible daily since the deload. But missed today.
But I’m off work tomorrow so I intend to have a lie in and rest.

Clare is spot on. Because the energy you use in the morning is mostly from the meal you had the previous night. So having majority of your carbs night before to fill your glycogen stores makes sense.

????REST DAY MEALS
◾️Meal 1 – off 200g 5% fat beef, 3 eggs
◾️Meal 2 – 300g chicken, 135g avocado
◾️Meal 3 – 200g 5% fat beef, 200g fat free cottage cheese, 10g coconut oil
◾️Meal 4 – 300g Salmon & veg
◾️Meal 5 – 300g minced beef & 40g cashews
◾️Meal 6 – 30g protein, 300g fat free greek yoghurt, 60g nut butter
Calories slightly lower than training days as I’m just running rest day diet on a daily basis..so pro fat.

No you don’t have to be sore..DOMS doesn’t equal PROGRESS. And at what level are we talking ? Just a bit sore and tight or outright sore can’t walk?

Day 4 of deload, things aren’t too bad. Had another decent nights sleep. Joints are getting a bit stiff..so maybe might go in and do a bit of mobility work tomorrow. Got treatments in the form of dry needling and massage booked later in the week. 🙂

Absolutely I’d push calories up, within reason. I’d keep an eye on log book for performance, and take pics for body composition. Maybe run a log on here ?

Used a log book for years, great tool. I’ll slowly push calories up, it’s the part I find hardest as I absolutely love food and get impatient but going to go slowly this time round. Workouts are great at the moment too just being back around maintenance calories. Haven’t gained any weight in the last week since I’ve upped them, even dropped a touch [/quote]
