Farm events session today. First time doing proper stones since April. Everything went as planned as I build into the events. I will progress the loads pretty quickly in the coming sessions but it’s always a good idea to be cautious when reintroducing these movements.
Sandbag Steeplechase – 2 bags
Duck walk/farmers medley – 100/125kg
Stones 100/120/140/160 singles then as as runFelt fast on everything which was the goal. Moving well between the implements and confident I can hold this speed when the loads progress

Rest day. Made a banging beef wellington today.
Got my kit packed for an events session at the farm tomorrow. First time since April doing proper atlas stones with tacky.

If a movement is pain free and it is suitably loaded starting with a very light load I see no reason why not.
Also have a look into occluded treadmill walking on the injured side. I’d have to dig the studies out but off the top off my head the early studies found that partial blood flow restriction while walking (for 17min in one study I believe) produced the usual responses to BFR. This could be used while you are unable to load the quad tendon directly in order to speed up healing and reduce muscular atrophy.

Difficult to give definitive advice without fully knowing the mechanisms of the injury or what is driving the issue.
I would advice seeking the help of decent sports physio if you have a complex issue with your shoulder.
However saying that I agree with your planned approach of training pain free movements in order to build strength. This can only be a good thing.

Hello,
that would be possible but I need to stand.
Yesterday I tried behind the neck press. Is it normal that it hits the lateral delts harder then normal presses? Really good feeling.
Yes it is normal.
I like BTN presses – just takes a bit of time to mobilise my shoulders to get in position haha.

Awesome first session of the strength phase. Felt super fresh (unsurprisingly after several days rest). Deadlifts were very very light. I’m good for well over 400 based off today’s pulls. Worked up to a top single then some work on the ladder focusing on how fast I put the straps on.
Deadlift 370×1 220-300 (ladder)
Hack squat 250×10
SA DB Row 82.5×14
SL Calf Raise 3 sets -
Final rest day – back on proper food today.
Back in the gym tomorrow for some proper heavy training. 6 weeks till BSM

Rest day today. Got my steps in and all that. My digestion has been on the brink of struggling the last couple of weeks so we made the decision to do a 36h fast and give it a break before we get back to it tomorrow.
New one for me. Don’t think I’ve ever not eaten anything in a day before. Liked it. Zero stress about when my next meal was and only a bit of hunger to deal with. I can see why it’s popular at the moment but not something I’ll have to do again for a while hopefully.
Sitting down now to watch the boxing

149.6kg. Friday rest day. Just got back home from seeing Slipknot play at the o2. Great show, amazing performance, ears ringing, off to bed.

Rest day today. Infact I’m on a deload now up till Monday when we start the new phase. By deload I mean just taking time off training, resting up so I’m ready to really get into training on Monday. Moving to a day on day off approach as with the introduction of events the sessions should really be classed as full body.
Saw my physio today. Knee to wall (ankle ROM) within 10% left to right and all strength markers are passed. Ready to start in season training

Push session at Physique warehouse. Final push session of this phase and wanted to hit a decent log press and get 300 on the Atlantis incline as it’s the last time I’ll be using it for a while. Log felt comfortable after a technical change and lockout felt solid.
Log Press 160×1
Military press 102×5 110×5 117×8
Atlantis Incline 300×5 then drop set
DB Upright row/front raise/lateral raise complex (3 sets)
Pressdown complex (3 sets) -
Well that was a lot of driving! Finally back home after getting the family visits all done.
Ready to get back to some normality. No other social events planned till after Brits so 6.5 weeks of perfection coming up.
Final couple of sessions of this block coming up to finish this week then we move into in season training as the prep for Brits, Europes and worlds continues.
