Got all the filming done for the new products at Physique Warehouse today.
Followed it up with some pec rehab. Lots of reps on both fly and pressing movements with light loads. Didn’t feel terrible. I’ll progress this over the next few weeks so that I’m confident when I start training again properly that I can jump back in with what I have planned.
Next up is to try and sleep in this heat – fan is on overtime right now!

Filming day number one for the new products that will be coming out very soon.
Actually didn’t take that long as I’m a one take wonder when it comes to filming stuff like this.
Plenty of driving so I took it as a rest day. More filming tomorrow but at a local gym so I’ll train afterwards.

Did an overnight fishing session on Tuesday night and caught a couple of really cool fish.
Got off the lake before it got too hot and headed home for a shoulders session. Lots of reps with light loads.
Finished up today with an hours walk with the dogs.
Driving up to the midlands tomorrow for some photo and video shoot for an upcoming project with one of my sponsors. New products will be hitting the market end of September so we are cutting it fine haha.

Got in the gym today and did some arms.
35mins of reps and reps. Joints are feeling good and the pump was great.
Walked the dogs this evening and before that had a trip to Costco for food and a copious amount of alcohol for the wedding in two weeks time.

Back home from Cardiff and my stag do.
Man it’s been a long time since I’ve drank that much haha. Survived to tell the tail even if I am a bit sleep deprived.
Ready to start another week – still nothing planned, just training how I like while keeping the loads light

First chest session back after the pec tear. Lots of reps with light weight on flys and incline/flat DB presses.
No issues or pain but then again it was very much a light session.
Off down to Cardiff tomorrow for my stag do so you might not hear from me. Planned this around me competing at the deadlift champs which obviously is not happening but I’m still down there for a good session

In the gym today for some pull and kept it the same as the Delt work with higher reps and utilising giants sets.
Once again crazy crazy pump and session took me under 40min. I must admit it is nice getting in the gym and going at it for 40min without the real need for all the prep work I have to do to be able to lift the heavier sets. It’s a nice change up for a couple of weeks for sure

As a beginner lifter you need to keep working on your technique. I’m not convinced that you’re knees are caving in due to having flat feet.
You need some time under the bar building your squat strength and improving your lifting technique through repetitions.
If you find your heels lifting off the floor at the bottom of the squat then sure a heel wedge, preferably in the form of a heeled weightlifting shoe, is a good option.

Another rest day for me today. Took the time to sort some stuff out for an upcoming project I have with one of my sponsors.

Physio session this morning working on my pec and my tricep. The bruising is starting to subside now and it feels pretty good, it’s only sore on palpation so I feel confident to start loading it this week.
Also had some soft tissue work none around my IT bands/TFL and my lower back.
Feeling nice and refreshed.

With the next 4 weeks I am having some scheduled downtime and forcing myself to reduce the loads in the gym. It’s tough as I enjoy lifting heavy but it is very much needed before I start to build to BSM 2024.
So training at the moment is going to involve me playing around with giant sets and chasing a pump.
Shoulders today and I very much found the pump, a pump that damn near crippled me haha. Light weights and a lot of reps on a variety of lateral raise variations got me to the point of not being able to lift my arms.
Mission accomplished.

Rest day.
Walked the dogs this evening and got some stuff I’ve been putting off done around the house.
Also back on my normal diet today after not really thinking about food for the last week. Gave me a little reset and a chance to feel hungry again.

Back in the gym today for what is best described as a pump arms sessions. Plenty of supersets and reps, nothing heavy.
All in all not that exciting but very much needed.
Walked the dogs in the evening as per usual now it’s time to get some sleep.

No training today but I will get back in the gym tomorrow for an arms session.
