    To be fair, some of the other classes in our Federation, especially London classes, charge Β£60-70 a month. Just happens that my instructor is more reasonable and recognises that that is quite costly, especially as there are not as many classes to get to along the coast as there are around London where you could easily train every day of the week if you wanted to.
    He also keeps the price down to attract a wider audience, we’ve got a really good number now, not too many but enough for a great atmosphere and a variety of training partners, works well πŸ™‚

    I stretch my lats by placing my forearms on a bar/surface, step back into an almost “good morning” type position, arse out, legs straight, knees slightly bent, then bringing my head between my elbows. Keep back straight, don’t let hips rise. Should feel a really good stretch on the lats. Learnt this one as part of my shoulder surgery rehab πŸ™‚ Find if very effective.
    Hold for 30-60s, repeat 4 or 5 times.

    Hopefully Sas will offer some advise on this one, he doesn’t deadlift and has an incredible back!

    Row until you can row no more! Pull down movements too of course.

    Rackpulls shouldn’t hurt your lower back too much if done correctly, my lower back is also fucked but I can rack pull from just below the knees without too much issue so long as form is tight and I brace correctly. Drop the weight and start again πŸ™‚

    Love how involved this log has become. Do feel a little bad de-railing it but nice that everyone is jumping in and some great posts being made πŸ™‚ If it were Jordan’s he’d be having a fit I think πŸ˜‰ haha

    @Corinne – glad you’ve got your priorities straight with the hat issue! I started looking at Yoga classes again last night inspired by your post, fuck they charge a lot for them. Β£10 upwards an hour for a group class. In comparison my martial art federation I pay less than Β£30 a month and can train at multiple sessions a week. Fucking Yoga…. I’ll get a DVD/Youtube. haha

    @jdh – I’m a fan of Ben Chow. My mate has hired him as a coach and he’s getting some good results. He’s gone from very fat to less fat now so that’s good! haha Seriously though, he is doing great and I can see some awesome changes, I think Ben is gonna get him in great shape. Plus him and Luke make the cutest couple.

    How’s things going with Kaged? Looking forward to seeing your Trainer series you’re doing with them πŸ™‚ Hope they are available on the Kaged website rather than BB.com “premium”
    I’ve followed a couple of Kris’ programs before I knew what I was doing and got a coach and actually they were great and got some reasonable results with them! I didn’t follow the diets though so there was my problem lol

    Let us know how the Yoga goes! It’s something I’ve been meaning to pick up for months now, my last gym had classes but they were always booked up by the middle aged single mums at like 4am in the morning the day the classes became available online. Every time I tried to book on, it would say it was full! I even tried just turning up and waltzing in but the lady was having none of it haha
    Must find a local independent class, I think it would do my mobility the world of good.

    Is it actually?! haha that’s very fitting!

    I met Eddie a couple of weeks ago at one of those “Evening with…” events, he was awesome and very funny. Met him a couple of years ago at BP before the big 500 too and very down to earth then too.

    Strength does look like an epic gym though with some incredible equipment. Went to James’, Kings, a while back for an event and was blown away by that place too! Want to go back there for sure.

    Ha fair enough, impressed how you just keep going, serious discipline. Something I am slowly building up. πŸ™‚

    Nah I know what you mean, that would wind me right up! Can fully understand your position there. I’m surprised to heard that about Strength though! Eddie must have a nightmare training there at times then :S

    Sometimes I’ll chat but for the most part I’m like you, it’s time to train. I’ll chat for hours before and after if you like lol Absolutely infuriates me when people are sitting around doing nothing taking up MY space. I nearly lost my temper badly a couple of weeks ago at some lad who thought it perfectly acceptable, on Monday, the busiest day in the gym (and it was absolutely rammed) to be sat on a bench, with his feet resting on a dumbbell, cross legged, on his phone, earphones in just chilling like he was at a coffee shop and I was after a bench to actually train.
    The other benches were in use by people actually training so I wasn’t going to interrupt, this lad does this all the time.. tried to ask if I could work in, totally blanks me, so tap him on the arm, ignores me again shakes his head…. I was so close to grabbing him by his ears and launching him out the door lol

    Sorry, went off on a rant there and derailed your thread!

    Anyhoo, it’s still awesome what you do for him, no doubt he’s the same when you’re in prep (I hope!) πŸ˜‰

    My morning office routine always starts with catching up on your blog… just don’t tell my boss haha

    I find it amazing how supportive of Jordan you are, even on your rest days, running him around and helping him in the gym. I need my own Corinne…. there a store or something I can get one? hahaha

    I really want to come up and train with you guys one day, jealous of Kippy etc who are all up there! Although to be honest, my efforts in the gym will be childish in comparison to yours!
