Monday evening when I got back I got in for my pressing session. Felt super tired but wildly strong somehow haha.

Yesterday saw a raw PB on deadlifts with 300kg x10 then the usual posterior chain destruction.

Today is my usual Wednesday coaching, cleaning with the team at the gym then physio šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

Absolutely loving a Dial In, Pumpage and Creatine combo for preworkout at the moment. Feel indestructible haha

Yesterday my partner Emily became Britain’s Strongest Woman u64kg – I’m so proud!!

There was some drama with another competitor at the end so the initial celebration was very tainted which is sad but I’m so happy for her and hope it sinks in over the coming weeks.

My nerves were in tatters, way harder watching her compete than competing myself šŸ˜‚

    Travelling home today

Big first day at the expo, saw loads of familiar faces and got dragged into lots of fun stuff including challenges with the Armed Forces Strongman guys, Disabled Strongman and commentated on Britain’s Strongest Man classes. Ended with speaking panel alongside Paddy Haynes and Terry Hollands. Fun stuff!

Emily competes tomorrow. I’m nervous for her!

Legs session today progress all round and felt great given I went fasted at 7am!

Highlight was 240kg x6 high bar squat. Easy stuff

Then packed up and headed up north to Bolton for FitXPO this weekend. Got in, unpacked, went shopping, prepped food, replied to clients. I’m knackered šŸ˜‚

More box ticking today with an upper body hypertrophy session. Felt way easier than last week, numbers all up and got a huge pump using Pumpage lol.

Incline close grip bench press 3×12
    Hammer Strength shoulder press 3×8
    Single arm pulldowns
    Biceps and isometric holds
    Grip

Simple but effective. Heading to Manchester tomorrow for FitXPO and the Mrs is competing in Britains Strongest Woman

Deadlifts yesterday were mega, but the 10 rep range wipes me out šŸ˜‚

    275kg x10, 230kg 2×10
    Rows
    Horrible circuit

Savage session. Performance Fuel was much needed.

Today is coaching, physio and some home admin. Life is on easy mode at the moment loving the graft šŸ’ŖšŸ»

Good Monday, productive as always and a decent session with everything moving in the right direction too!

Got my bloodwork back last week which I forgot to mention. Honestly all perfect and I’m super happy with everything.

Props to Love Heart, Vital Support, Magnesium, Cure Coming, Vit K2 D3 and the rest; they all work so so well!

Yesterday was a nice day at a friend’s wedding, off plan food wise (well kind of anyway, it was steak and potatoes and veg, then a slice of cake)

Today I helped at a comp/coached clients which is always fun! And been managing online coaching workload all weekend in short work stints.

Feeling sore but productive week of training. Another to come!

Not feeling massively ā€œmotivatedā€ but ticking my boxes with full intent. Nobody gets anywhere slumping around !

Legs today, not even much volume but enough to get them wobbling.

    High bar squat 170/190/210/230kg x6s
Box step up 3×10 BW controlled eccentric
    Leg press constant tension 3×15
    Leg extensions 3×12

Superb first week back. Very happy with how body and mind feels.

I’ve been adding TBJP Creatine into preworkout for the past 3 months, taking my intake up to 15g a day which I think has helped a bunch.

Ultimately they’re just 5 to 7mm neoprene, designed for light compression and warmth around the joint. I wouldn’t bother unless you feel the need or run into discomfort as Hilly said above.

Personally I use them all the time as preventative measure but also because I do strongman which can hammer your joints. But my joints are fine without importantly.

Bit washy as an answer sorry ! Lol

Upper body hypertrophy today. All the bits I’m weaker at which are going to get a real hammering the next few months!

Also had blood drawn this morning to see bloodwork, always important to be continuously monitoring health at any level but especially high level!

Yesterday was my first deadlifts since Europe’s and they felt strong! Very pleased with a new block starting point.

    250kg x10, 220kg 2×10
    Rows
    Horrible circuit posterior chain stuff

BW trending down a bit more. Was definitely some bloat/water weight from America and being off diet for a few days (higher carb/fat)

First day back training today after a much needed week off!

    Log strict press 5×3
    Standing DB press 3×12
    Cable Ys
    Then a horrible circuit

Simple but tough and felt great to get moving again. Trained with friends around which was nice.

Bodyweight 141kg so looking to bring that down ASAP to around 134/135kg before a push back to around 138-140kg in time for end of July.
