Hi Martin,
I think the baby waking you is more impactful (but also more important!) than the pre if it doesn’t stop you sleeping.
I’m similar to you in that I train in the evening and like high stim pre workouts.
I’m fortunate in that I’m a very heavy sleeper, so don’t feel any issues.
If you’re looking at optimising sleep quality, it might be worth trying unwind or dream sleep, but also look at your sleep hygiene in general, don’t lose sight of some really easy wins!

I agree with the team here mate
It’s often easy to be thinking on what more you can do, but when you’re in a spot where everything is moving forwards well, don’t be tempted to look for something you don’t need.

Upper session today, and really good one to start the new block
Cuff laterals
High cable curl
Stirrup pushdown
X-over
Machine press
Machine row
Stirrup pull-downJust getting meals prepped for tomorrow, one more for this evening, then a good sleep before lower session tomorrow

Right with Clare here mate, this is not the same scenario as the Prime or Strive pieces with the variable resistance pegs.
-
Rested today, just got meals and supps sorted for tomorrow
Moving now to an upper/lower split for a period of time so will kick tht off tomorrow
Still got the remanence of this cough which is highly annoying.
One more meal tonight, then sleep

Privilege being down at the opening of Jord’s new gym today.
Huge turnout, which shows how appreciated the TBJP approach is in this day and age
It was definitely wise to have today as a rest day though, the gym was HEAVING!
Great job to Jord, Corinne and James, people who will train there daily are very blessed, it’s some place!

Hi mate
It’s not isolated to you, most people find it easier to give advice to others, and end up overthinking when they apply decision making to their own programming.
The important bit is that you can recognise that, and then look at things more objectively.
That’s an important skill mate, so great job taking some time to develop that.
Let us know how you get on!

Hi mate
I think you can really simply answer some of this yourself
Are you “spinning your wheels” on SLDL? There’s no reason you need to be, but are you?
Are you recovering between leg days?
Are you progressing lifts?
Don’t worry too much about potential theoretical issues if they aren’t manifesting themselves for you!

Good leg session tonight, although it did aggravate my lungs as I’m recovering from this cough.
Found a really comfortable stance for my leg pressing, still working in high rep
Ranges but managing to start creeping the load.Upper session tomorrow, then travelling over to support Jord and Corinne with the gym opening on Sunday

Did a pull session today, it was modified as I’m still not well, but better than yesterday.
I’m really not trying to push, but bodyweight keeps creeping. 146.1kg today, so probably time to start simmering tht back down a bit
To this point blood pressure has behaved, but I’ll run it again on Saturday as a comparitor at peak weight.

That’s a really tough one mate, as so much changes situationally
Variations of PPL and UL have been my favourite and most fruitful, but I don’t think I can pick out one single time that stood out above others.

I think “proper execution” varies on context.

I had intended to train today but have taken a significant dive after starting to feel unwell yesterday so I’ve chosen to move my rest days around
Hoping to be back to it tomorrow, just on with food prep and then will aim for an early night
-
Feeling a bit groggy, but nothing that got in the way today.
Really good push session this evening, and another Groundhog Day with the food!
Just on with food prep, last meal, and then sleep.
Very much looking forward to seeing the gang at the weekend for the gym opening for Jord and James.
Pull session tomorrow though!

Guys have clearly covered this really well. Ultimately depends how you execute the movement as to what you get from it.
I actually really like DB rows, although it’s one of the movements that gets very badly butchered by people, which is always a shame and probably what gives them a bad wrap
