Very busy couple of days away with work, but it has given me two rest days from training.
I’m very ready to get back in over the weekend with an upper and a lower session
Just polished off my last meal and am getting myself to bed.

I’m falling in line with the guys here and saying tht whilst the temptation is so often there to be looking at the next thing or doing more, make the most of periods of success!
You’ve outlined a number of areas that you want to be improving, including movement execution.
Work hard on getting these things where you want them, get them consistently excellent, and push your performance with it until you’ve got nothing more to pull out of this set up

How long are you giving yourself between sets mate?
If rest periods are reasonable, it sounds like a conditioning issue – unless you are ungodly strong!
-
Rest day today, definitely feeling it after three on the bounce!
Travelling down to London with work, but well ahead of it with food prepped for today and tomorrow
Another test day tomorrow, then upper and lower over the weekend
-
Pull session done, and that’s now two days rest ahead for me
I’m just on with food prep and packing as away tomorrow with work
Very in need of the rest, it’s been a very busy few weeks and it’s definitely impacting my recovery
Looking forward to a good sleep tonight too

Hi mate
If you do well with whey powders, I’d go for a high quality whey isolate
If not, I’d have white fish as a super easily digestible whole food protein
Most people then do very well off rice based products
Cream of rice, rice based cereal, or white rice variations – basmati, jasmine etc…

Good push session this evening, although the gym was painfully busy!
Shoulders very much behaving, which is super happy news!
Pull session tomorrow, then away with work on Thursday, and a rest day Friday, so back to upper/lower over the weekend
Just about to sort food prep for tomorrow and last meal for tonight, then sleep

Agree with Clare mate, the temptation for som many people is to modify (almost always by adding volume) before they’ve even tried the split.
Give it a chance, focus on excellent movement execution, and then improving session to session.
You’ll be surprised where it takes you!

Very much enjoyed my leg session this evening.
Tough going for sure, but knees are nicely playing ball
Just finished up food prep for tomorrow, about to have my last meal and then it’s sleep
Big push session planned for tomorrow evening

Hi Alex,
Super important investment here, and one that other people’s opinions won’t be able to help all that much
This is so much personal preference. Get yourself down to a store and spend some time trying different styles and firmness ratings.

Well I ended up resting today. I had a really good sleep, but have been absolutely flat lined today.
I probably need to be slowing down my rate of weight gain, that won’t be helping.
All good prep is sorted for tomorrow, which will now be a lower session

Hi mate
Great job.
How are you finding the suitability of the training split?
Clearly it’s worked well for you to this point, but how is the recovery and performance tracking?
-
Really good upper session this afternoon, very pleased with the session set up, really simple, but movements I’m able to routinely progress
Couple of meals still to get in today, then another good sleep tonight and a lower session tomorrow

Just to add on to what the guys are saying, general life/professional stresses/demands can play a significant role here.
Has anything changed in that regard that needs mitigating?

Rest day today and I’m glad of it. It’s been a long long week, especially with being unwell over last weekend and the start of this week, but it’s done, and I’ll get some down time over the weekend
Upper session tomorrow to look forward to, but last meal and sleep first
