Hi mate

I think using MPSmax or a whey isolate to boost the amino profile of your meals is absolutely the way to go

Good back session today although it ended frustratingly.

Pinged my adductor on some heavy Yates rows at the end of the session.

I don’t have legs until Thursday so hoping it’s a chunk better by then, probably just run a high rep session to be sure.

Food prep is done, on with some work and then just feeding to do

Delts and triceps today

I’d like to have a press in this session, but it’s just too much of a risk at this point, and with my shoulders behaving relatively well, I’m reluctantly being sensible

SA cable lateral
DB laterals
Overhead rope Tri ext
Rolling stirrup Tri ext
Incline barbell JM/skull crusher hybrid press

Good progressions, good day of eating, one meal left tonight, then sleep ahead of a big back session tomorrow

What about shifting to a PPL or UL and running a sequence of

Mon – train
Tues – train
Wed – rest
Thurs – train
Fri – train
Sat – rest
Sun- rest

Hi mate,

I think if you’re short of kit, using a barbell across a number of planes will do a solid job for you.

That said, there are probably more optimal options for you.

Don’t feel you can’t do it if it gets your juices going and you can standardise the movement execution under stress, but equally, don’t feel that there’s a “need” for this because “how much can you bench”

Leg session this evening, and another one I’m super happy with.

I’m working harder each session as my confidence grows in my knees, but almost all of the sets in the session are set between 12-20 so load is relatively kind on my joints

Prone leg curl
Banded quad press
SL hip press
45deg leg press (paused)
Ham hypers
Standing calves

One meal left tonight, then in tomorrow for Delts and tris

I totally agree. Why does it matter if it takes weeks? If it’s weeks of progressing, you’re in a great spot!!

Break it up and add into a shaker with water and it mixes up perfectly bud

Unfortunately mate the powder in the tub has gone that hard you can’t actually scope it out
Don’t worry about the scoop mate, just break it up and weigh it out – the water will dissolve it in the shaker.

Back day done.

Please remind me not to train 6 days in the bounce in future.

Definitely wasn’t the plan, but now having to take two days off with work which I found out about short notice so had to juggle things around.

Was all ok until I got to my hinges and it fell apart.

Still, two days of rest and I’ll be good to tear it up

Got my food prep sorted for tomorrow, now cooking my last meal and then it’s sleep

Totally agree with the guys here.

In this situation, where you have multiple really good options, go with the one that excites you the most at the time. Take it all the way, then swap it out.

Really good position to be in mate

Delts and triceps this evening.

Memo to avoid training on Monday evenings where possible!

Good session though, just took me a lot longer than I would have ideally liked

Raced through meal prep, about to hit my last meal, and then it’s sleep with a back session tomorrow

In all honesty mate, I would just run PPL on rotation until you’ve maxed it out.

You don’t need to see your training split fit into a week, it’s just ongoing.

I like the idea of this, so if I finish legs on a Tuesday I’d rest on Wednesday but can’t train on Thursdays, would I essentially just take 2 days rest and pick up again on the Friday?
For me mate one of the best things about PPL is that you can flex to your recovery needs

It might be tht you go

Train Tuesday, train Wednesday, rest Thursday, train Friday, rest Saturday, train Sunday, rest Monday.

Or you might go, train Monday, train Tuesday, train Wednesday, rest Thursday, train Friday, rest Saturday and Sunday.

Lots of ways to make it work depending on your recovery capacity.
Thats great! Makes much more sense. Thanks Rich
Hope it works out well mate, let us know!
