Totally with the guys here, there’s no set answer, if you’re fed and rested for your session, and you can get in at a time that others aren’t inhibiting your use, sounds ideal.

Really good leg session today. I’m really happy with how these are going at the moment.

Combination of good movement selection, double dosing TBJP Join-In and Cure-Coming, and the new sleeves are meaning that my knees feel fresher and fresher every session.

Prone leg curl
Banded quad press
SL Hip press
45deg leg press
Ham hypers
Standing calf
Seated calf

Food prep is done, last meal cooking and an early night for me.

Hi mate

What does a current push session look like?

• You have the right thought process. But is there a reason you want to stick to dumbbells and not maybe a smith or plate loaded machine?

No smith or plate loaded machines. Gym is very limited. Would another cable press variation be better than dumbells since its more stable?

I’d run this to ground mate. Feed back with the rep ranges you’re hitting with the DB presses and we can look at other options if necessary

Arms and calves today.

I’m not a big fan of training arms, which is probably a contributor to them being so weak, but I got it done none the less.

Two meals left today. Just polishing some work off and then a bit of chill later

Legs tomorrow

Hahaha well it Damn well works mate. I might add more shakes in this case 😬
The shakes are as anabolic as the clothing 💪🏻

I use this to kick my session off as well. Really nice movement to start the session with.

Really good back session today,

Chest supported high row
Upper back low pulley row (stirrup handles)
SA chest supported row
Rack chins
Barbell row (Yates variant)

Everything up, it’s coming consistently, I’m getting it.

Arms and calves tomorrow which by nature is a lighter session so will be ideal after throwing some weight around tonight.

Just about to sink my last meal and then get a good sleep in

In all honesty mate, I would just run PPL on rotation until you’ve maxed it out.

You don’t need to see your training split fit into a week, it’s just ongoing.

I like the idea of this, so if I finish legs on a Tuesday I’d rest on Wednesday but can’t train on Thursdays, would I essentially just take 2 days rest and pick up again on the Friday?
For me mate one of the best things about PPL is that you can flex to your recovery needs

It might be tht you go

Train Tuesday, train Wednesday, rest Thursday, train Friday, rest Saturday, train Sunday, rest Monday.

Or you might go, train Monday, train Tuesday, train Wednesday, rest Thursday, train Friday, rest Saturday and Sunday.

Lots of ways to make it work depending on your recovery capacity.

Really good push session today, very happy with the movement selection and the progress I’m making.

Body is playing ball, my joints are being good, so I’m in a good spot.

Food is prepped for tomorrow, about to sink my last meal and then get to sleep.

Big pull session tomorrow…. Right up for it

Rich, curious on your opinion on variable resistance machines….

Hi mate

I think if you have access to them, then great, genuinely.

What I don’t think people should do, is be so hell bent on profiling when so many other factors are yet to be in place

If you are in a gym that has them, absolutely take advantage of that, great.

If your gym doesn’t, and you’re not prepared to move gym, execute traditional movements very well, get really strong, programme intelligently, be diligent with your recovery, and work really hard consistently, and you will go SO far with your physique.

Hi mate

I assume changing gyms isn’t an option.

With that parked, I think you’re right to break the sessions up, in this scenario, getting enough work through a body part in such a restricted time is key. A lot of people faced similar challenges in the return from covid as gyms were offering 1hr slots.

I personally quite like your suggestion, maybe putting your tris with shoulders, and leaving abs for something you can do at home
