Agree with the guys, if it’s working it’s working, but it’s highly unlikely it will be sustainable as you get stronger and deeper into the rotations

Provided you’re prepared to be reactive and make a change at that point, keep experimenting.

    Hmmmm

    “We should” or “he does”?

There’s definitely something sensible about balancing volume under high frequency, and if you observe that some muscle groups recover more or less quickly, then adjusting volume is sensible. When/if you’re truly in a position where a bunch of bodyparts can’t hang with full body anymore, I think it’s just wise to switch to a different split.

Appreciate you’re not saying you’re going to mimic what he does, so by all means have a good look and interrogate.

All his training is on his log.

    Very good lower session today

Everything was on the high side of reps. Literally nothing under 15, but most on the 20 side.

I’ll crank the load over the next few sessions until it’s closer to 10-12 and then circle back to the higher reps and start the next wave

    Update time:

Hey guys, thanks for all your feedback.

I train quad focused on tuesday and hamstring focused on saturday now, like you recommend.

I still hacksquat every saturday, without any kind of pain or soreness!!

Also my legs are getting a new kind of stimulus it feels like, it’s also visible.

    Thanks guys!

Brilliant news mate. Now just to get at it for 6 months!

Let us know how it goes

Rest day today. Very long day to top off a long week, but I’ve just woken up on the sofa – never ideal, but definitely needed

Lots of work needed to do over the weekend, but will be having a rare treat and watching the AB v Fra tomorrow morning.

    Lower tomorrow and upper Sunday.

I just need to get next week out the way and I can crack on with everything

Just getting my last meal, then sleep time

    Hi mate

Thts a very long session set up, similar to others. It’s worth reviewing!

I’m with Kuba, Clare and Marc here mate. Single dose between your pre and post makes most sense to me.

Pull session tonight. Didn’t get me massively excited for whatever reason. I’ve tried really hard to stay engaged since the bicep rupture but I guess the honest assessment is, some days it’s just not motivating not to be able to move the weights I could

I’ll get over it, one meal now before sleep and then a rest day tomorrow

Hi Nick, glad the procedure has gone smoothly and hope the pain subsides quickly

Wholly agree with Sas, I’d like to see a slight surplus when recovery demand is elevated from surgery

Good push session this evening , gym was super quiet, presumably because of the football.

Everything felt nice tonight, and when my body feels good I’m happy.

Pull session tomorrow which is the one that’s still needing to lose some inhibitions.

Just about to get my last meal, then sleep time.

Have you got what you need from this Connor?

What’s changed and what are your observations?

I’m not as advanced as some of the other guys on here in this respect, but typically try to get somewhere in the order of 1:1.

Gooooood leg session tonight. Enjoying it being a good bit cooler, definitely a nicer place to be for the sessions

Knees behaved really nicely tonight, I’m working with my highest rep sets first and then loading for latter sets. Not optimal for strength in healthy jointed folks, but allows me to work harder so a sensible choice for me.

All over the place tomorrow which isn’t ideal, but meals are prepped and ready

    Push in the evening 💪🏻

    Hi Dave

Have you seen any improvement? What did you implement and what have the results been?

Nice upper session today. Definitely enjoyed the cooler weather

Started to get a bit of load moving on the pressing now. I’ll be patient, as we go but keep it moving forward which is fun.

Got a good chunk of food prep done too so last thing for me today is to get my final meal, then sleep
