Happy new year team – hope 2025 is a good one for you all, but then it will be what you make it 🙌🏻

Absolute junk session today, shouldn’t have gone, but I’m too stubborn at times

Resting tomorrow so hopefully get myself back on track

I’m not good at being ill, so the sooner this buggers off the better .

Yep. As Clare has said, you’re either going to crack on with what you’ve got, or you’re going to change gyms – Zero point dwelling on what you don’t have access to.

Hi Callum, not much to add here to the answers you’ve had, other than to be mindful of keeping some kind of check on it.

If you do SLDL with 4min rest one session, and then 2min rest the next, don’t be surprised if you don’t perform as well off the short rest

Im not suggesting you sit there with a stopwatch, but some check on it is sensible

Possibly (definitely) stupidly I went and trained some pull today.

Glad I went in, but not at full speed

Two more meals and a sleep should see me in a better spot tomorrow

I’ll stop whinging at some point, but very much needed this break which has now not been a break – oh well, 12 months until the next opportunity 🙄

Rest day today after three on the bounce and not a happy meathead

Feeling worse than yesterday, but have managed my meals and had multiple naps so far.

Realistically this isn’t going to go away in the next few days so I’m just going to have to manage it and see what’s realistic with training around it.

Really fed up, but it is what it is

Hi mate, wholly agree with the team here

Warm up sets are there to get you in a position to get the very best out of your working sets

It sounds like they are doing that, which is really good news, and something to carry on implementing.

Hi mate, no issue at all, but also probably no quicker to make than cream of rice, so see which digests best for you!

Totally agree, 5g is absolutely plenty! Even for very big guys it’s enough to get the job done

Push session today and pleased to have mostly recovered from last session’s set back

Managed some direct tricep work again, but very much had to limit the load and volume on pressing

A few more sessions and it should be good to have a full effort set up, although I’ll certainly start with higher reps

Suffering with a chest infection, courtesy of spending time with extended family over Christmas – a cross between fed up and furious, but that won’t make it go away

Resting tomorrow anyway, so hoping that helps kick it

Good substitute mate, both excellent movements, run it for a good spell, get everything you can from it.

VERY long drive and an early start today, but got my meals in on the way, stayed well hydrated, arrived home, sunk my isolate and cream of rice, topped up on water, moved a bit, then strong coffee and over to the gym where I had my best leg session of the year. Steadily been creeping the range on my pressing movements (uni and bilateral) and really happy with today.

Not strong in the extreme (for me) stretch at the moment, but a really good place now to work from

Very very happy with where it’s at, genuinely cannot speak highly enough of the TBJP joint supps – Join In, Collagen, Osteo Pro, Cure Coming, and Omega Pharma Pro every day

Just had my penultimate meal, one more before bed, I will sleep very well tonight

Absolutely brilliant job mate, you’ve proved to yourself you’ve got the discipline to be consistent with a plan – you’ve done really well.

From here I think you can start working up, but as the guys have said, doing so very steadily will hopefully help with the loose skin.

Back to it today after an excellent two full day’s rest, and a 9.5hr sleep

Pull session done and dusted, really happy with how my elbows feel

Big travel in the morning and a leg session in the late afternoon so early night tonight after some more feeding
