dorian, Ronnie, branch, jay, kai – ALL trained to failure
lee haney, phil heath, dexter, lee priest – ALL DIDNT train to failure

so using the elite is NEVER a useful comparison to prove or disprove any notion within the sport

as ever….train to your needs…your experience, your passion, your goals

that’s the only way to truly find you answer

if in doubt…try all the methods available, learn as much as you can….give them all a fair trial…then you will know what is best for you πŸ™‚

i think it is very different actually

i use the trap bar to recruit more leg drive to protect my back – the load is more central than shifted forward like a normal BB

if i conventionally RDL with a BB it also places too much stress on my lower posterior chain, so
    A) i cant increase load beyond the weakness here which limits other muscular adaptation
    B) I will get injured

i like to do them standing on a small platform to create a deficit in order to reach better depth and therefore recruit my hammy/glute stretch

    haha thanks sam

I think people dislike sushi when they have only had bad sushi…in which case, yep its not worth eating – i don’t think ive seen a sushi place in poole – but i think ryan or clare will likely know of one
I don’t give in depth answers to those that don’t actually care anymore – just change the subject pretty quick
my advise to people now is, just enjoy life and be healthy – this lifestyle isn’t something i would encourage for most people in full honesty as it can bring so much unhappiness if the individual is lead / believes in a convoluted concept

    ANYWAYYYYYYYY

WINDOW REPLACED! hooray – taxis round here are sooo poor and infrequent its a pain in the butt

from tomorrow i don’t have plans to go anywhere (other than locally of course) for about 10 ish days…which is wonderful….i need sleep and some down time so bad

yesterday me, Leanne and my dad (raybabes) went to London for the day as a belated fathers day gift/trip
really lovely day even though it rained…went to the natural history museum then to Camden – and had dinner near Victoria – went to a palce called Balans Soho Society…never heard of it…but was a lovely meal…i had sourdough bread, seabass with jasmine rice and mango aorbet – was all to macros as food is already high (i can eyeball)

    TRAINING…
delts and tris today – brilliant….really really looking forward to adding some size, and i know the changes to training will facilitate that

legpull tomorrow – deads on the menu, with eccentric control – must must must improve my density

posing on wake each morning as per usual and will vacuum every day – had the pics back from the comp which im sure some of you have seen on IG…very pleased but can clearly see poses and areas that i strongly dislike

so i will work with rosie again to improve this even more

i have about 8 months til i step on stage again

    thanks @sam

hopefully I don’t speak too soon….but no up and coming vet appointments in the diary! just autoglass….to FINALLY fix my window….grrr

Jordan is lazor focussed on my goal and is seriously on my case to make sure no mistakes are repeated – I want to get to the O in 2020 so so badly and without him I wont…full stop.

food was lovely – but still burger and pizza would be at the bottom of lists I would actively pick

the tan is off – its been like 10 days….so im safe now!

    answers…but boring – sorry!

    1) Pepsi or Coke – got to be Pepsi Max Cherry for sure – NEITHER, I DONT ENJOY THEM TBH – SO EITHER – OR PEPSI MAX IF YOU WANT AN ANSWER
    2) What’s your biggest pet peeve? – BEING ASKED TO CONFRM A CONFIRM
    3) What do you do to cheer yourself up after a bad day? – I TEND TO JUST CRACK ON WITH WORK, GET AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AS THATS A COMOFRT AND USUALLY THE REASON THE DAY IS ‘BAD’ – SO I JUST FIX THAT PROBLEM
    4) Ideal roast dinner – go – NOT A DINNER I WOULD GO FOR AGAIN – GENUINELY HAVENT HAD ONE IN YEARS! ONLY XMAS DINNER – BUT THATS NOT THE SAME REALLY….SO ILL JUST GOOGLE TRADITIONAL ROASTSS…….HERE WE GO….I GUESS…ROAST CHICKEN, ROAST POTATOES, YORKSHIRE PUD, GRAVY, VEG (CARROT, PEAS AND SWEETCORN, CAULIFLOWER)
    5) Most annoying question you get in the gym and/or online? – NOBODY IN THE GYMS ASKS MUCH NOW TBH, WHICH IS NICE….I DONT LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE ASKING ME ‘WHAT YOU EATING’…WHILST PEEKING INTO MY PERSONAL SPACE…AS I WOULDNT PUT MY FACE IN THEIR SANDWICH – AND THE OTHER ONE IS, ‘SO ARE YOU EATING NORMALLY NOW’ AFTER A SHOW…WELL YEH, THIS IS MY NORMAL – SO THOSE 2 QS IRRITATE ME

    Morning all
    Monday 29th July 2019

So whats the plan now I hear you all ask?
And what has happened in the last week?

I will enlighten and excite you all with the post show CHEAT BINGE REBOUND PARTY HAIR DOWN GO WILD week….jokes…im far too boring to have an exciting and unpredictable time haha we know this…

here is the outline of what happened from show day
    sunday 21st (a week ago already…crazy!)

(I realise that this isn’t baking chat so a lot of you simply don’t care so much haha but for the few that like to see the process I will be taking here we go)

    Sunday show day
On show day I ate (usual ground rice, almond butter, whey was used)
    Meal 1 – 20p, 75c, 10f
    Posed – Jordan wanted more….
    Meal 2 – 20p, 100c, 20f
    Meal 3 – 20p, 100c, 20f

90mins before roughly – 2 squares dark choc and 5 ish rice cakes with some salt
Fluid about 1 litre til stage – water and espresso was used.

Competed at about 5.30pm – on stage an hour….by golly it was gruelling haha
Got off – Had tuna sashimi and a sparkling water with ice – refreshing

Back to the hotel – showered
Hydrating from the stage nice and steady – didn’t actually feel that thirsty tbh….as water was high til bed the day before

Went out about 9.30pm…i didn’t fancy anything in all honesty – I had eaten so so much for like 2 weeks haha – buuuuut Jordan wanted a burger – so we found a nice place – beautiful town…i don’t really eat burgers, simply because I don’t like them that much, I would just never pick it to eat…but thought sure, ill go for something I wouldnt normally have
(im trying to do this more now, to totally overcome food anxieties etc)

We had some garlic bread to start which was LUSSSHHHH

Burgers….I had pineapple, gorgonzola, beef, tomato and rocket…in a really nice bun…sweet potato chips with it too and a side salad….all very very tasty so I was pleased I was brave

Then I had a raspberry cheesecake thing which came in a glass – also super nice

    Went home….went to bed

    Monday
Got up early walked down to the sea….at first I couldnt actually find how to get to it haha there was a railroad in front of it – then I did and found steps down to a small beach area – but it was soooooo cold…like legit freezing, so I wimped out and only went in to the knee haha

Sorry – but having veryyyy little fat makes life chilly!

Walked back, woke Jordan – had breakfast – this was pre gym meal ….so had egg white and some salad WITH KETCHUP (calm down Corinne….) I had some bread with beans….i had fruit, I had some cereal…kinda stuck to macros I guess

Trained – full body nothing too taxing – was smashed potato after the posing tbh

    Got to the airport
    Flew home
    Landed in Stansted
    Drove home
    Longggggggggggg day

Food was grabbed as I went really – sticking to macros that Jordan outlined – which was just eat carbs and eat stuff haha – so I had fruit, rice cakes, a rice pot from pret (I think?), jacket potato at the services with a fruit smoothie

Treats – I had a blueberry muffin from coast, which was so so nice – SURPASSED expectation, the texture and moisture was sublime…had 1 subway cookie – white choc and nut (obvs) a few coffees on route WITH MILK (seriously chill out Corinne..)

Was a little nervous to eat, found it hard, but Jordan enforced it tbh.

Its important post show that I eat and don’t under-eat – if you think about it I had had a high intake for a long time, so that was then my maintenance, if I was to drop below (as I have every other comp due to being apprehensive of numbers) then I would lose tissue.

    Resting for a few days.
Meals outlined to be 5 per day of 40p, 100c (remain calm – scared!)

Tuesday had the family picnic planned….i under ate at this meal – but Jordan made sure I hit the macros….he took me for sushi at yo sushi…highly recommend the β€˜prawn star’ – had a caramel magnum on the way home…which are TINY compared to the original ones a few years back….not happy seen as I plucked up the courage to enjoy one haha

    Wednesday – same macros
Prepped meals to make me stick to them – had 1 meal with my dad as I did him a favour and collected him from Silverstone….we went to a pub – I have a chicken salad and jacket potato – so stuck to macros

    Thursday – last rest day
Drove to Manchester that evening – prepped meals again – same macros

Friday – first session back – delts and tris – START OF DIET
Saturday – rest day – stuck to new diet – but Jordan bumped the carbs up by 100g as he thought I looked a little flat on wake
Sunday – leg day,…FANTASTIC SESSION!! Excited to grow – stuck to diet ….and that’s me….diet in place

    Diet is
