How I’ve always helped clients to squat is by making them repeatedly sit down and stand up. This always works so plz try it and bare with it. Stripping it back to basics. So do this without a bar or any weight to begin with. Think about when you sit on the toilet – you just sit down and you stand back up when your finished – into your heels – not onto your toes. Because a squat is a natural movement. Babies squat to pick things up we’ve just complicated the movement over time. Repeat just sitting and standing then progress this into just touching your bum on the seat and not resting it. Touch and stand. Practice this then get some weight on. Hope it’s clear up understand. Sounds v basic but it works well I’ve helped many clients over the years this way.

Absolutely fine I often do this myself but it’s a 30 min walk never impacts anything

Hey guys. So today was meant to be a rest day but due to coming to Manchester Wednesday for delts and triceps with jordan I’ve decided to train through 3 days in a row so push today pull tomorrow rest Monday legs Tuesday. Had a great session and really seeing improvements in conditioning and shape today. I’ll post pics.

Yeah it’s annoying. The good thing is I can still train hard so as long as I’m able to work around it and still get good sessions In I’m not too worried as I know it’ll get fixed. ????????????????

Are you very tall by any chance ? Have you tried squatting to a bench that’s at parallel or below parallel ?

Hey guys not sure if any of you watch my stories on Instagram but if you do, you will know from my stories today was a bad day in the gym. My glute issue that I only ever feel on hip hinges, really flared up on all my leg pressing exercises. Ones it never ever does! Maybe this was because of the dorians and how I tried to train through the pain I’m not sure. I tried again today to train through and in the end managed to get a half decent session but that’s just because I know intensity and I know I can apply that whether I’m lifting super heavy or not. I’m very sore right now but knowing I’m seeing Chris knott on Wednesday which is re assuring especially after all the good things I’ve heard. If you don’t follow him on Instagram check him out! So from now until I see Chris I’ll do no hip hinging in my pull session and keep it all machine rowing and vertical pulling ! I have to be thankful I’m even training after my surgery. And all in all I’m v pleased with the rate of my recovery and how I’m doing now. So this is just a small hurdle I’ll jump over v soon!
