Hey guys. Hope everyone is ok. Yesterday was a rest day. Got some errands done and tried to chill. As today is back round to my push day. Today will be a test in recovery as I’m thinking 2 days between each session might not be enough rest and the last push session really hammered my chest. So I’ll test the waters if I’m feeling ok I’ll leave it as it is. If I’m still a bit achey I’ll alter the session to be more delt focused. Speaking with jordan the plan is to try and grow for 4-5 months then prep for 3-4 and get on stage back end of the year. Just need to get back to training legs and hitting compounds again. So I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

Keep at it buddy, good to see you making progress and you are in a much better place compared to a few weeks ago, you seem to have made really good progress!

I suppose its kind of a good time to just practice technique and form, although yours is already excellent!

All the best, can’t wait to see you back at it!

Thanks buddy. That really means a lot. Yeah for sure I feel I’ve made a huge leap in recovery since a couple of weeks ago. Yeah you can always improve can’t you my man. Feels awesome to train im just excited for what’s to come now. Thanks my man I can’t wait to get back on stage after seeing the 2bros results from the weekend.

It can definitely be done if your willing to do what’s necessary – will it be your best look? Imo a rushed prep never is so that’s up to you to decide

Personally I’d cut them out and opt for what the guys are saying. Always try and keep foods to single ingredient foods close to show personally. I know you can get away with a lot and calories govern everything but when competing I want to eliminate any doubts and keep my peace of mind knowing everything is super clean.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll just opt for shake with some oats. Another question I would like to ask is do keep whole eggs and red meat in trough bout prep or do you cut it our or several reduce them lets say 3 weeks out? Thank you
Whole eggs and red meat is fine to keep in…. based on your calorie requirements. If you need to cut calories from fats then swap them out. There’s no need or must with whole foods. Beef and eggs are amazing. It’s always going to be the calorie goal that needs to be adhered to

Hey guys. Hit a pull session yesterday. Again I know I sound like ok repeating myself but it was all kept very sensible. A lot of it’s on my story actually. So it’s all 15 reps minimum again and really chasing the connection and feel. Slow eccentrics. Controlled concentric. Felt amazing tbh. Dare I say I’m kind of enjoying it ? ????????. I do miss throwing heavy weight around but at the same time I am loving training again. And although I’m going lighter I’m not actually lifting nothing. I just can’t deadlift, hold myself in a position which requires me to stabilise my core and train legs properly yet which is shit but it’ll come.

Chest supported row 1×15 1×20
Seal row 2×15
Seated cable row – 2×15
Mag grip chest support pull down – 3×15
Single arm low row – 2×15
Rear delt cable – 3×15
Machine shrug – 3×15
Dumbbell bicep curl – 3×15
Leg extensions – 3×15
Ham curl – 3×20
Calf raise – 3×20

Ok I mean 200 isn’t stupidly low and it’s v common for bodybuilders to go that low some even lower. I agree with what joe says above. You’ve definitely jumped in a little too hard to start with but I think the bouts of hypoglycaemia can be avoided by moving the cardio. 45 min after already depleting glycogen in a big weight session is bound to cause a drop in blood sugars. If you are happy with food and prefer the aggressive cut I’d say move cardio to fasted and see if that helps.

Personally I’d cruise and build calories to keep muscle wastage to a minimum.

Hey guys so today I ended up going to the gym again. I did another push session again keeping all weights moderate abd didn’t perform anything over 10 reps. In fact 10reps was only done once on the first exercise. Pump and connection was insane today. Mps and sustain bk in too. I have never had to be so precise with lifts so I’ve never felt this kind of connection which is cool af high reps is still wank but pumps are insane.

High incline barbell – 1×10 1×12 1×20
Decline machine 2×15
Cable fly 3×15
Db lateral raise 3 sets to failure then partials
Shoulder press machine – strict pure delt focus (back completely upright) 3×20
Close grip bench press 2×15
Single arm cable push down 2×15
Leg extension 3×15
Lying leg curl 3×15
Single leg press 3×20
Calf raise 3×20

How did you feel prior to the surgery?

I have a inguinal hernia myself, currently 4 weeks out from Comp. I’ve had their hernia for years but recently has gotten bigger where previous it sat right above my groin now it sort of dips into the scrotum. Still no pain or discomfort but a bit worrying. How long did it take before your were back in the gym? And from what I’ve gathered you have had complications post surgery?

Initially just like I’d been hit by a bus from the anaesthetic. Sore and tight but not too bad. Then for the next 5 days I was in agony. Everything was hard – even the simplest of things. Putting socks on etc. After that until now it’s still uncomfortable but the pain eases daily but I’m no where near recovered. It’s still painful to touch down there. And the swelling is still there. I’m light training now so around 2.5 weeks before I went to the gym but this is now me training completely different to usual with a lot of things I am nowhere near ready to do- legs, heavy compounds etc. I had complications from the anaesthetic not the surgery bud.

Wow, sounds like you have been in for a rough ride. Hope the recovery is smooth sailing from here on out for you. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you.

I know this hard to say but if I’m not experiencing any pain or discomfort would you recommend waiting untll I do?
Thank you it’s getting there now

I think it might eventually give you pain and discomfort and it’s something that will definitely get bigger if you lift in the manner I do so it might be worth getting it done and out the way sooner rather than later

The issue may not be the reader, more the strips mate. Sometimes bad batches are sent out. There was a huge recall a few months ago, so potentially could be that. Seems crazy really, seeing as some people base their insulin off these readings…

Which strips ? Different machines require specific strips
