Struggled today with my mindset, felt really down but want to be honest on here. Just to show we always can’t be happy all the time. My partner got me through it today and my clients have helped make me laugh.
Just need to keep the head in the game, like always I feel like I’m trying as hard as I can but not getting anywhere but I know I usually feel like this at this stage in my prep. I know I need to practice posing more as it’s a different ball game is the pro league.
I’ve been doing posing morning and evening and finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with it, but there’s always improvements. It’s been rest day today so I haven’t had to do much. Worked this morning then been on a walk to get my steps in which always helps clear my mind.
Worked this evening teaching class and now I’m absolutely shattered so going to have my last meal and go to bed soon after as it’s leg day tomorrow ?

Personally from walking I can’t get my heart rate up but it depends of how big you are really as Jamie said walking is enough for him ?

Weight is steadily going down everyday which I’m happy about I’m on the right track Kuba is happy with the progress. Still need to get a little bit leaner to be perfect on stage. Slowly but surly I will get there.
Still a couple of things I need to perfect, posing isn’t my strong suit been practicing every morning/afternoon but need to do it more. My own fault as I’ve been super busy with my new business I haven’t prioritised it which it my doing. Have a less stressful week so I am going to make sure I get my posing nailed this week and continue to practice 3 times a day as I want to make an impact on stage and not be overlooked.
Pull session today, body feels very tired everything aches so looking forward to rest day tomorrow. Had to really get my mind in the zone to be able to give it my all in training. Managed to keep up the strength had to go down on my RDLs as my form wasn’t 100% so I’d rather take weight down and get rep ranges, as I don’t want to be causing an injury so close to competition.

That’s completely normal, I’m 3 weeks out and just trained push and really noticing a difference just lower the weight to make sure getting the rep ranges out. It’s only because your lighter and have less energy as you’ll be on lower food.

Feel like I’ve woke up this morning and prep has hit me in the face. ?
Serious note… feeling tired today but it’s not surprising as my cals are low and I have cardio to do. Made the most of my Sunday and didn’t do too much this morning just had a couple of posing clients at work which I love doing and gives me a boost every time.
Trained Push was strong on my compounds but then when I got to the isolated exercises my shoulders had given in, so had to drop weight a bit to make sure that I kept up with the reps. Don’t like getting weaker but it is just part and parcel of getting lean.
Keeping going not long now, checking in every day still so hoping for changes daily now to make sure I’m ready in plenty of time before show.

So I spoke to soon, checked in again this morning and bodies not playing ball same weight yesterday morning. I’m going to keep ticking the boxes and doing everything that I can to make sure I’m ready if food needs to drop lower that fine I’m ready I’ve not prepped all year not to make it count now.
Worked this morning had a couple of clients and helped out with the HIIT can spin class today. Walked home to keep up my steps then I’ve been cleaning most of the day and doing the accounts for the business, never do get a day off.
Came to Meadowhall this evening to try and get some summer clothes for Alicante but it’s all gone so going to have to try order some stuff online as I only need a few bits.
I’ll let you know tomorrow if my weights changed I’m hoping it has as good is lower and cardio is now 35mins and I can definitely tell the difference it’s just not showing yet.

Hallelujah my bodies starting to work again, checked in this morning and down 2lbs from last check in so very happy today. Was getting frustrated that nothing was changing. I am now checking in every day now just to make sure things are playing ball and ticking away.
Stage it getting closer and I can’t wait to get on there my bikini has been made and looks amazing can’t wait for it to be delivered so I can try it on.
Trained legs today for the site with Meg and Kam really enjoyed it, it was a little bit of a different plan today than u squally do. We switched up some of the machines so was working with numbers today, but my legs are absolutely dead now. Got in a nice bath this evening to try and ease them off.

As Clare said it’s totally individual, same as Clare I like my carbs for m1/pre and post. As I have a busy day at work and find I need to energy in the morning and during training to optimise strength.
Also look at digestion so the foods which your using for a carbs can you digest that amount in one sitting easily. Hope this helps x

Rest day today, in bits from training the past few days also had a deep sports massage yesterday so aching from that. Taught spin this morning used that for my fasted cardio, which I’m enjoying even though it’s been upped to 35mins.
I really do find that doing cardio on a morning sets me up for the day and allows me to rant to myself during which helps get out some frustration. Just don’t like getting up earlier but you can’t win at everything.
Been a busy day, getting all the odd jobs that I need to do on rest days like clean and food shop. But I did slot in seeing a friend who’s just been through IVF so we had a really good chat this afternoon and set the world to rights. Which was lovely to talk to a different human being who isn’t to do with the gym and that environment as she has a different outlook on life. Also took Ted to meet her dog Tilly so they had fun together which was lovely to see.
Not much tonight just finished work, going to get in a nice relaxing bath tonight filled with Epsom salts to ease my legs for filming tomorrow and it’s leg day… pray for my legs ?

Don’t worry at all, it’s awful when you feel like that. But honestly that’s what a coach is there for to put you right when your not feeling it trust me, she will be able to put you right if your doubting yourself.
Your right though she wouldn’t let you step on stage if you weren’t ready – or is hope not.
Keep calm and carry on, you can do this if your doing everything that you need to do then you can do no more so believe in yourself darling ❤️❤️ big hugs

It’s a horrible feeling when you don’t feel ready I’m currently feeling the same. It is literally making sure your hitting everything you need to be doing eg. Steps/Cardio/Food prep/Posing
If you have a coach brilliant they are the ones who will be able to tell you if you are ready or not, best seeing photos to see if you are. If your not ready in time it’s ok not to do the show but it may be your prep brain saying that your not ready especially if you have coached yourself as we are very critical of ourselves most of the time!

So my body is being resistant to change, it’s annoying but it always happens. Checked in this morning and still 8 stone 13 so cardio hasn’t helped… yet!
With no change Kuba has upped my cardio to 35mins and steps to 15,000 now. I hope that my body starts to respond to this as I’ve worked so hard all the way through lockdown and afterwards to bring the best package to Alicante. It’s just a matter of time now.
Trained pull this afternoon, went really well managed to get my leg press up to 345kg for 10 reps which is heavier than last week and that’s with less food and more activity so very pleased with that! Session is logged below.
No much else to do today other than get my steps in, so going to do that then get a full body massage as it’s rest day tomorrow so it will get a propa rest as my hamstrings are tight.

You need to make it work for you, if it’s rest days ideally yes you want to have a non carb meal somewhere but you could just split the carbs throughout the day evenly so your having carbs/Fats/Protein
Or have you tired yoghurt and protein?
