Push today and another decent day in the Books. Main compound up and 2nd matched with better form and more load, the rest of the session flowed very well too.

Weight is starting to sit here now at around 245 and with check in tomorrow I’m expecting some slight changes in food.

Buutt… and I know we have all done it but I’ve just eaten some chicken that was in date but just didn’t smell or taste quite right. When it has that slight eggy smell and taste so I’m just hoping I’m not waking up in the middle of the night or tomorrow and spending a day bringing it back up

You would match your total mg yes. However it’s likely the true dosing will not be identical with the change of brands but if the same batch isn’t available there’s not much you can do about it and just hope it’s close enough.

Rest day today and it was one of them days where setting off for cardio this morning was like getting an old tractor moving haha my legs were heavy and did not want to move but I love that feeling. After that just a chilled day today. A small amount of client work in the morning then relaxed in the garden and got my steps in in a couple of short walks.

Looking forward to push tomorrow to see what I can eek out of this set up before the tren goes in, in the next week or so.

Thank you all so much for your input so far!
Brandon: what are your thoughts concerning potassium supplementation based on the podcast? I like Dean but imo sometimes he gets too emotionally attached to his opinions making me question some of his views.
Hilly: if I am supplementing sodium peri workout, it cannot be bad to supplement a proportionate amount of potassium with it, what do you think?
    Like in an electrolyte powder.
Jimmy: I do salt my meals but since I keep my salt intake high, I should keep potassium in an adequate proportion, what do you think?
What is your guys’ take on sodium spiking aldosterone? And how to combat that? Anyone else to chime in on this topic?

I think as bodybuilders/ people who train our sodium intake should be higher. Now I know there is the notion that extra sodium will displace potassium but our diets are largely whole foods and we will get a good portion of our RDA from this. For years I have always supplemented with an electrolyte supplement to add to my potassium intake but my levels are generally quite low so I’ve always monitored mine more closely, especially in prep when food is lower.

However I did like the idea of him using the half and half low salt. Rather than taking a potassium supplement directly this could be a good way to increase consumption.

Salting meals and an electrolyte supplement is a better route in my opinion for the reasons hilly suggests, it’s difficult to supplement potassium correctly especially if you are trying to take in the upper end. If bloods are in range I see no need for one.

I do IM simply for the reason you mentioned. I found that frequent injections of the lower belly just left me a tad swollen from time to time and had no issues IM

Right shoulder is dropped. Could be to do with your hips being out n tightness there or so than the actual last being stuck.
Will be n interesting one ????????

Hips are tight as hell! This makes complete sense already. RDL has been hampered from tight hips and left quad won’t tense properly from tight hip flexors

Just giving you a heads up on what’s probably going to be a nightmare job ????????

Legs in this heat!! It was not pretty. I’ve gone too far in leg sessions in the past in heat like this and it’s made me ill so on days like these I really pay attention to my sessions and what I do leading up to them and after them

All meals were salted almost double. So that’s around 20 twists on each meal for me.

Double serving of electrolytes AM and PM

Making sure I’m breathing correctly during rest periods of the session and allowing my heart rate to be at resting pace before I enter each working set.

And drinking plenty of water of course.

All in all it’s been a good day. I’m much happier with this mornings check in and the leg session was nicely progressed

    What is your split?
Some of us guys don’t lower load in pull B because of where our leg sessions are placed and how they are programmed. Mainly due to a recovery aspect.
    Send your split over mate.

Ok. So the guys questioning about the no lower loading in the session were right to do so.

Your leg day movements are machine based and you are well supported in them, this will not create too much demand on lower back so it’s likely in pull B you will be able to get away with a lower loading compound. A stiff leg dead or an RDL would be a good start point.

Swap the barbell row out for one of the above movements and asses recovery from there.

America for me. Not had chance to go yet but it’s on top of my places to visit. No specific place but the country in general intrigues me. Possibly from all the movies and YouTube stuff I watched when I was younger.

Arm am day and it was a hot one! The session was good and progressed across the board. Definitely felt better attacking the session after the rest day.

Check in tomorrow and also legs. I’m a little fulller than I was and weight is holding but getting tighter so I’m in a good spot here. See what the morning brings.

Completely with hilly on this one. Some literature says 5ml some says 6ml others only a certain amount can be absorbed at one time.

However anecdotally I’ve found it’s down to the compound and how well You get on with it as an individual in regards to pips swelling etc

Also in regards to “large” muscle groups, glutes, lats etc i believe it depends on the amount of tissue and how large that muscle group is in comparison to you. I wouldn’t think twice about putting 4ml in a lat now but if I did it 5-6 years ago I would be left uncomfortable for sure.

The less per site the better IMO I would stay at 3ml but 4ml if you can get away with it
