Hey. The only way to find out for sure is to get a test to see how the thyroid output is. However it would be very rare indeed if running thyroid for 6 months completely ruined it, it’s an old school myth from 1 study years ago that running t3 and coming off it straight away will ruin your thyroid. But a test will still be worth getting to eliminate this completely.

Pull day today and lower back loading. deadlifts are out and block pulls are in. we simply were not recovery from the deadlifts before legs and legs before deadlift so they had to go. Another good session for me and connection was very strong again. Felt and looked very full strangely enough, still softer but not in a bad position at all. Volume for next week needs to be monitored more closely as I feel we can possibly get ahead of ourselves here and quickly end up needing a deload.

    tonight’s session was

    block pulls x 2
    prime row x 2
    SA dy row x 1
    assisted pull up x 2
    prime pulldown x 2
    rev pec dec x 2
    rope shrugs x 2
    SA cable curl x 3
    SA hammer DB x 1

If the fitted tops are making you sweat they could be contributing to the problem. I find if I’m hot and sweaty it makes any acne or scarring look worse and red for sure. Its definitely something you should try but the problem is probably deeper than just the tight tops. Regular washing with spot creams, washes and exfoliation will help too.

Sounds like a pull or a small tear with how you have described it. Kuba had something very similar a few weeks back and after that my advice would be to not mess with it and completely rest, away from any chest movements and any other movements that aggravate it like shoulder press possibly. Training it light will only take it longer to recover. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear but it will save you time and possibly another injury in the long run.

If you have tried adding more water and it still doesn’t sit well then maybe it just doesn’t agree with you..It is slightly thicker than normal so maybe it’s just not something your stomach likes.

performance fuel may be worth a try

I would never have a cheat meal in prep. I see no benefit to a meal that is likely to cause you digestion issues and one that you cant accurately track to gauge the response from your body. Structured refeeds when absolutely necessary are my preference. No digestion issues, no guilt, accurately tracked and can plan forward from the response of the meal.

Depending on metabolism and some other factors like bf. You want to be looking anyway between a 300-500kcal drop initially

Another rest day today and you guys know by now that my rest days consist of napping, client work and pretty much only moving to eat.

I had a conversation with AJ the other day on my recent approach to this later part of off season. Before it seemed no matter how much food I ate if I had a day where I was even a little active and especially 2 days where I was, it would reflect in my strength and how full I was. I could just never stay full and consistent with strength and performance.

I was doing a lot of research and listening to podcasts and it came apparent that the biggest bodybuilders do not move. Corinne mentioned on a podcast also that jordan only moves when he needs to train. Then it got me thinking about the Kuwait set up. Guys sleeping, eating and resting all day and doing nothing.

Now I’m in a very fortunate position to be able to work from my phone or laptop and have no commitment or obligations so if I wanted to lay down all day I could. I went about setting up my own Kuwait style living right here. I sleep, I eat, I sleep, I eat, I nap, I train, I eat, i eat, I eat and I sleep. Apart from training I do not move.

How had this worked out for me so far? I believe that since doing this my muscle mass has considerably increased, my strength is very good and if injuries were not holding me back I have no doubt I would be at all time strength, I stay full even after brutal leg days where as before I definitely would not.

To me for bodybuilding with a metabolism like mine this is perfect. The only draw back is isolation, you can feel pretty institutionalised as you go nowhere and do nothing. However for me this is an all or nothing situation and I’ve gave and devoted everything I have to this next year of bodybuilding and the proof will be in the pudding to weather or not it truly worked.

good question. I think it boils down to what is best for growth. 1 rotation will be very 1 dimensional, hitting the same areas week in week out leaving other angles and body parts out as there is no way over 1 rotation you could hit everything you need to. Also 3-4 week of pushing on an exercise more frequently I believe will stall quicker than it needs to. The benefits of multiple rotations see you hit multiple angles, ranges and body parts frequently enough while having the benefit of been able to keep exercises I. for longer while still progressing.

10 weeks out you have a long haul ahead of you and going into that already fatigued would not be ideal at all. Take 2-3 days rest and start the next 10 weeks fresh. Your body will thanks you and performance will climb again

The feeling of bubble wrap popping could mean a small tear. I would go and get it looked at as soon as you can. The last thing you want to do is make it worse or even tear it further.

I would always opt for a lower fat percentage to start. Only because many people struggle to digest higher fats. Hilly nailed it here and personally I like to start people on a 40/40/20

Find foods that are easy to digest and dont have a lot of volume. As hilly says oats at the height of high food are a no no for most people as they take some digesting and you need lots for little carbs. calories are calories so some of the “clean” foods can be swapped for things like muffins, cereals, jams, anything easily digestible to you.

my intake is currently very similar to yours and I find it easy but I have a lot of foods that digest well with me. if I was eating oats and a tonne of fruit I would no doubt struggle mate
