Looking forward to the log buddy!

    1) How much stage weight are you predicting you need to become a threat in the Open BB class?

    2) What does a current training/rest day diet look like?

    3) Favourite cheat meal?

    4) Would you rather always be a little bit too hot, or a little bit too cold?

    Hey Isaac

Thanks mate! Ok so last stage weight was 102/3kg (weighed in 99.9 to make weight) – realistically I think I would need to be minimum of 110 but my overall goal is to be FULL on stage as well as having my condition which has never been a problem for me. Just need to put it all together now and BB is deffo the class where it’s possible.

As I said to Adam above I’ll post my full nutrition breakdown tomorrow morning ????

Fav cheat meal, hmmm I used to love ice cream/sweets etc but genuinely gone off it all now, I just like a big steak or ribs with chips/sweet potato fries and a full fat coke. Then potentially some cereal ????

Never been asked this before but I think a little too hot. I’m always hot and sweaty anyway so I’m used to it plus it’ll be easier to warm up for the gym haha

Welcome onboard, looking forward to this one.

I see that the aim this year is to move up to Open BB and turn Pro. what’s you plans show wise and are you currently dieting or still pushing up to make improvements?

would be interested to see you diet breakdown for this phase.

I might have to pop up and check out MJ’s its only an hour away from me in Swindon.

Hey Adam thanks for that bud. Glad you’re looking forward to it, I’ll try give as much insight as I can!

So yeah last yeah I dieted down for classic and had to lose just over 3 stone from an already ‘kinda lean’ physique (I never seem to get too fat, even in off season) … which was horrible. I was ready (visually) at around 107/8kg but still had to go sub 100 to make weight. I was shredded but I lost muscle and it was just not a nice experience tbh (the last bit anyway). So to answer your question JP took me under his wing and we planned to jump to open BB – no shows planned yet but I’d like to hope I get on stage this year with the ultimate goal of winning the pro card. I am indeed still pushing up, but just gone onto a cruise for a while, getting bloods before another push in 8/10 weeks or so.

I’ll do my diet breakdown on my log tomorrow buddy. Rest and training ???????? thanks for the questions

I think everyone is different as we all know, which makes it impossible to find a set rule to follow. It comes down to monitoring a number of factors, most of which @haider-mehdi has mentioned. You need to make sure you increase your food based on the correct markers and not just because you feel you can eat more. Because you’ll just gain unnecessary weight/fat. I would usually also initially add on pre/posts meals so the additional food can be utilised effectively ????

What’s up guys. Day 2 going strong! Ha. Rest day for me today as I’m somewhat disabled from leg day yesterday as MJS gym in Tewskesbury. JP and Corinne train there a fair bit and put some AWESOME kit in there including a pendulum squat, cybex hack, hammer strength seated leg press and life fitness seated ham curl amongst others. I think it’s important to use diff kit sometimes and not to just stick with the Same stuff 24/7. Different angles. Different stimulus and more gains. I do legs at two diff gyms to rotate exercises and kit and found with the progressive approach that my legs are seriously improving!

Let me know if you guys have any questions 🙂

Oh and I’m filming with Corinne tomorrow so watch our for my first video on the site V soon ????????

Agree with all the guys above here. Always favour keeping food in over pulling where poss. Plus increased NEAT will likely not affect training or recovery in any way. ????

Hey guys what’s up!! Welcome to my athlete log! Very happy to be on the team along side some amazing athletes and educators!!

I myself have a degree in S&C, I’m currently a Personal trainer and online coach, and I (obviously) have a passion for bodybuilding. My goal right now is to 1. Work closely with Jordan to win that IFBB pro card moving from classic physique to open class BB and 2. To help inspire, motivate and encourage as many people as I possibly can! So now having access to this platform and all of the members here, that means my reach is now even further so please do ask me anything you want to!

This is my first post so I won’t bore you with a huuuuge essay (because I easily could ????) … over the next few days/weeks I will update you all with my diet/training/short term goals etc and of course anything else you want to know. If you want me to cover a certain topic ask me and I’ll let you know, or direct you to someone that can!

Follow me on insta too as I post a lot of pics and training vids there as well. Really looking forward to engaging with you guys as much as possible. Let’s do this! ????

    Joe.
