    Feeling very strong right now and motivated going into prep in Feb which is going to come around very fast.

    In for my first leg session of the year tomorrow! Should be a good one. I’ll report back then!

    I’d forget about the percentages stuff bud

    Let’s say your warming up for deadlifts/pulls and you know you work around 4.5 plates

    Start with 1 plate aside for let’s say 8/10 reps

    Add a plate – do 4/6 reps

    Add a plate – do 2/3 reps

    Add a 4th plate aside for a single

    Then into your working set.

    These aren’t worked out percentages – they’re just straightforward loading patterns.

    Use the same logic for all compounds

    Off on my way up to stay with friends now for new years – going to be training at ultra flex tomorrow and will be doing chest so looking forward to that

    So shooting yesterday which was so good!! Went clay pudge on shooting with dad, Adam and then Nancys dad and brother too. It was a 96 shot day and I shot 57/96 which I was really happy about!

    Back in for chest and tris tomorrow and will be putting some more Christmas food to good use as we had our Ballinger Christmas Day yesterday!

    Good couple days rest and relaxing with the fam. And of course getting some nice food in too. Nothing really to say bodybuilding wise as I’ve been super chilled. Haha.

    So yeah ran a chest and back session today to make up for the missed session yday. Just did my compounds for each session was actually pretty good and then ran some posing rounds.

    Now chilling out and relaxing ready for Christmas Day and family time.

    This is deffo a good thing my man. I’d imagine you have a way to go before you’re lean lean. When you get to that stage you’ll start to notice things getting harder in the gym to progress. You won’t be adding muscle if you’re losing weight in a deficit and not on cycle deffo not.

    Long old day today – went up to London to help Nancy with some bits and do a bit of Xmas shopping. We were meant to be back in time to train in the evening but didn’t get back till gone 9pm so that was a no go. It is what it is, life happens, I missed a session, I won’t die 😂

    Looking forward to training tomorrow though. Obv take weds off and will be with family and then back in again as normal from Thursday!

    I used to pt 6-8am work, full time 9-5, or again 5.30-7.30, then train, then food shop, home eat and sleep. Take from that what you will.

    Been a very good few days of training. And also went in to see my chiro Friday. Needed a bit of fixing up.

    I’ve been seeing the same guy nearly 7 years now twice a month every month and I think I wouldn’t be here without that man. Especially after I broke my back, he keeps it all aligned and in good working order – as good as it can be 😂

    Something seems to of clicked with training too, I feel super strong, like a good bit more than I have done. Can’t it a finger on it but yeah it’s good.

    Rest day today and back to it tomorrow – my split falls so I have Xmas day off anyway so no deviations to the normal training plan. Happy days .

    Today was good ! I posted the session on insta

    So leg extensions because in don’t have many sets today I’m bottom peg for both. In 2 sleeps I have lots more sets as it’s just back and legs

    The lay out of what I’m going to do to keep this leg is as follows

    Day 1 : full body ( no hams or biceps )

    Day 2 : rest

    Day 3 : back, legs , biceps

    Day 4 : rest

    Day 5 : upper

    Day 6 : legs and biceps

    Day 7 : rest

    It’s funny how necessity will force a split that is super hard that maybe would be avoided for how hard it is ( today I was wrecked after 3 hours ) , but because of the necessity, the ability to endure becomes higher . Shows really how everything is mental , and when choice is removed , we will push harder ! Even me, who pushes real hard

    Today I will adjust the exercise selection somewhat to speed it up , I need to get the duration down just as it’s meh at the 3 hour mark . ( it won’t be immediately obvious

    Why it took so long to some , but when your strong , warm ups take time lol)

    Show dates next year are out , October 4th and 18th , if I’m ready earlier I will go earlier , but this leg needs to be fully 100 percent before I deficit, but it will be based on this split and the timelines , so all looks like will line up ok

    My goal is obv to win, but it’s mostly to get back up there and then start beating my own looks , it doesn’t take then very long until you win , if you beat your own look 4/5 times . Many don’t seem to view winning in this way, which I find odd . To me, winning is just a result of progress , and self progress is easy , and then once it’s your time to win, it’s your time .

    I love this approach on winning too, as you can’t control who turns up. But you can control your own progress and getting better, and better and better… until you’re the guy that ‘turns up’ so to speak.

    Veryyyy good leg day today. Felt very strong indeed and did some stuff I’ve not done before. Feel like things are really kicking into another level right now. If I can stay uninjured we’re going to be in a bloody great spot when it comes time to prep in Feb.

    Everything on clock work right now and I’m just riding the wave!
