    awright man, thanks for the previous reply on the raves. couldn’t agree more mind needs the rest just as much as the body so planning it in like deload week would be good eh. How did you cope doing the doors and gym? Been on the doors 2 n a bit years myself, food is easy if I’m dieting I fast n if I’m not ill have a shake n some PB. The part I struggle with is the stress/energy exertion, feel as though training the day after just fucking sucks most of the time but yano whole point of low volume is greater frequency. Did you ever find this difficult or other areas related to the doors, would appreciate any advice.

    It’s a strange one back then I didn’t really pay much notice to recovery I didn’t know any better I trained 6x a week did doors 5 and pt’d 5 days too.

    Food was very high I slept well but I do think it held me back a lot in my progress. It was a necessity tho to get to where I am if I didn’t stick at that I wouldn’t be where I am know we all go through stages in life where we just have to get shit done and crack on. Thinking about it I honestly don’t know how I recovered as my training volume was much higher then too. Only thing I can say I had 0 stress in my life I just worked did what I wanted saved up lived at my mums had no responsibility or grown up life…. that’s the secret haha

    Alright bud when you in the last few weeks of comp prep do you up your protein I always do 1.5g per lb but thinking of upping it to 2g per lb to prevent catabolism or do you thing the increase in calories would affect fat loss ????

    Increase in calories will affect fat loss 100% it’s still calories I know it’s protein but your body can still break it down and use it as fuel when there’s no other source

    Keep it same no need to increase. What will preserve muscle tho here is training intensity and regulating volume.

    Much needed rest today. The leg press just takes my soul.

    So after a discussion with Jordan we are keeping the same set up in terms of exercise selection but we are going back to push pull off legs off repeat.

    This will be perfect recovery wise. I just wasn’t quite recovered enough with the previous set up. This will see me good to go

    Big leg day today

    Hit 600kg on leg press with green band for 6 with a decent pause

    That’s a big pb both in weight reps but more importantly form.

    Same set up as before with legs PV rep sets in will add pic of my log book tomorrow.

    A pb should always be measured by best form not just reps or weight beat. People forget we aren’t powerlifters we are bodybuilders and building muscle is our priority over everything.

    have you ever tried full body workouts? if yes did you use 1 set per exercise or the classic 1 load 1back off? thanks:)

    I have and I prefer push pull legs not a fan of full body

    T3 always on an empty stomach otherwise you will lose some of the absorption.

    With circadian release, before bed is often best.

    Also away from dairy supplements as that slows absorption.

    half life of T3 is 24 hours, no real need for multiple dosing.

    Solid rest day some day to day life stresses but it’s life until I’m made for life it’s just shit we gotta do. went to see new avengers with meg, it was very disappointing

    And on plus side one of my clients won his class and overall today he looked great and beat overall champ from recent 2 bros 🙂
