Morning mate!
Yeah i dont think you can go wrong with Medichecks from experience! But I am Birmingham based and going to an outsourced but partnered clinic youll always get good and bad i suppose!
Sounds awesome! I met you and James just before his first of a few shows back start of June when I was 4/5 weeks out myself and felt awful – i have huge admiratin for you both but never seen the size and condition of someone like James up close before and probably didnt pay enough attention to the fact that my actual goals fall more in line with your look!
Edd Corney is my ideal physique although im up closer to 6ft… I have national finals in a smaller fed come October… then 18-24 months off to grow and try to leap from physique to classic – every bit of feedback ive had off people, judges from 3 shows etc that my body looks much more bodybuilder like, if not size then just the lines and the way posing comes naturally to me.
Id love to win a bodybuilding show not physique. Winning a physique show was pretty cool no matter the size as it was my first… but to do a routine, to bring the crazy condition and present as a bodybuilder in a decent standard and win it would be everything! I come from international cricket and rugby background so its a sobering experience to not find a sport pretty easy, no team mates etc but I love it! But i miss coming out on top every week!!! haha
Hi Reece! Yes it’s very different going from a sport like rugby to bodybuilding! In them kind of sports your competing every weekend! With bodybuilding so much time and preparation goes into 1 competition it’s so much different! Winning a physique show is a huge achievement bro winning any show is. Physique is no different to classic or bodybuilding we are all athletes and are all fighting to be the best in our category. All working as hard as eachother. Will be exciting to move to BB if your physique is more suited to that. Will be motivating for you to put on that size! Good luck for October! What federations is it?

I personally like to leave minimum 2-3 hours between meals. Otherwise I’m simply not digesting them before I’m eating the next one. I guess you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do in prep but if this is a regular occupancy you may want to restructure your diet and macros so your eating 5 meals instead of 6 or whatever to make things more manageable.

For offseason I’d say 20-30mins LISS and only adjust food if your not gaining strength or weight buddy

Good morning everyone, just finished up another fasted walk. I’m really enjoying walking outside at the moment as opposed to using the bike at home. Makes me much more motivated to do cardio so if your struggling at the moment try switching things up and see if it helps! Going to take a rest day today as Body is feeling shattered and trained 3 days on the trot. Will reduce carbs today and slightly increase fats. What are you guys training today?

I have always used medichecks buddy with no issues.
I go to a BMI private clinic for blood drawn local to me through medichecks. bloods are back within the week and they even have a graphing system on there site so you can monitor changes along side your own notes etc.

Question: what are your long long term goals within fitness/competing?
Hi Reece, thanks so much I will check them out today. James has used before I think also. My long term goal is to turn pro. I know if I turned pro I’d want to win a pro show and try and step foot on the Olympia stage. I’d probably come last but it’s an experience I’ve always wanted and would never forget. Always been a dream as I think it is for every competitor in this sport. The goal for now is to turn pro and go from there. I also don’t really want to get to a point where I’m changing my physique too much and lose my aesthetic look. I would keep my current physique over something larger and blockier any day of the week so it depends on the criteria for Classic because at the moment the judges seem to be rewarding the bigger guys and I don’t really want to get that much bigger! What about yourself buddy? What’s your goals?

Hey bud, all the time your losing weight/ improving condition I would keep everything the same. Only make adjustments when your body hits a plateau.

Hey mate, no much probably. With them blended before would probably aid digestion a little.

Good Morning Guys! Just finished up a fasted walk! Getting ready to make breakfast! Few bits and bobs to do today work wise then hoping to get in the gym in the late afternoon. Had a meal off with friends last night but ate clean all day and around training. Looking to get my bloods done soon as I’m coming towards the end of my cruise phase. Has anyone got any good recommendations for blood work?

About 7/half 7pm for me after a long day at work, home to see kids and then head to the gym ???? I used to go straight from work at 5:30pm but new gym is super busy so hang on a little bit.

I think all gyms are busy at that time! I try and get in before or after too! Do you feel tired when you train that late? Sometimes I’m shattered when I’m in late and don’t like taking stim pre workouts that late!LouisMoylan

Hey buddy, I’ve never used a stair master in my life I’ve only ever used the bike and an incline treadmill walk so it’s definitely not necessary. Could be worth trying though to see if it does bring them out.
