I always use low carb days especially on rest days. As Ryan said they’re very good for increasing insulin sensitivity, also improving digestion and I find they help push water out the body.

Good evening guys! Legs are in pieces today! Really really sore! Struggled to jump in and out of the van at work! Had a phenomenal back workout today at the local nuffield centre as I fancied some air con rather kings scolding heat! Nutrition has been great apart from some pizza I had when I took my niece out for lunch yesterday and she only ate 2 slices so I felt the need to finish the rest! Waste not want not!!! How are you guys getting on this week? How are you managing in the hot weather?

Good evening guys! Smashed an absolute killer leg workout in some scorching heat at kings gym! Feeling absolutely smashed now! What did you train today guys? Any questions about the workout hit me up below guys! Hope your having a good productive week!

Hi mate! Really glad training is going so well! When writing a program how much does ‘shaping your physique’ (couldn’t think of a better phrase) come in to play versus say overall muscle gain. Ie do you focus on sculpting or choose exercises that create a higher fibre demand. For example some guys will perform front squats to isolate/favour quads more although overall loading is decreased compared to say a hack squat. Apologies if the wording is poor.
Hey Matt, I think I understood! I programme my push pull legs training quite evenly, as I feel like I have quite a balanced physique. I’m not really missing any body parts as such I just need overall size on everything. So I try and train everything very evenly. If I was say lacking shoulder over chest then on a push workout I would do more shoulder based push workouts and the same for legs etc. Pull workouts I try and hit all parts of the back too so that I’m not missing any areas. I try to focus a lot on accurate training making sure I’m using specific muscles to do certain exercises and put the stress load on the areas I want to be worked. That way when I programme a certain training session I know I’m covering all the areas I want covered. How do you manage your programming?

Hey mate, just hoped on these forums and great to see you on here, looking forward to seeing your progression during the off season. Fantastic that you are keeping on top of your training and diet considering the week you have been through. Looking at coming down to Kings on the weekend! looks like a fantastic gym! Have you ever run a full body split or a upper lower? I am doing a whole body atm and heading towards increasing my volume towards Jordans recommendations but wondering if you have any personal experience/ advice? Thanks in advance!

Hey Sam, for years I done a regular 5 day split, chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms. I did get results from this. It’s only the past few years that I’ve implemented the Push, Pull, Legs regime and I have become a fan of it! It allows me to hit muscles more frequently and directly with more accuracy. Also allows me to get some more rest inbetween. What sort of programs are you thinking of changing to?

I agree with kuba on this one. I wouldn’t lower food if your trying to keep the muscle you’ve gained.

It depends on what your goal is and how you feel when you look in the mirror. If your goal is to gain muscle tissue at all costs then keep bulking but if your not happy with your condition then try and lose some body fat and then try to gain with a clean diet from that point.

I use TrainedbyJP Nutrition InSure with all carbs meals. Bulk powder probiotics and digestive enzymes and try to use food choice that are easily digestible for myself!

What enzymes do you use Louis? ❤️
Hey Buddy, I used to use Digest Gold by Enzymedica, but they’re super expensive and money is a little tight so I ordered a job lot off of bulk powders. I’m waiting for the supplement needs digest stack to be released as that will no doubt be the best formula and great value for money!

Good afternoon everyone! Just wrapped up a great push workout down at Waugh Machine Gym in Ramsgate! Great little gym and a great workout it was! Going to smash either legs or back tomorrow depending on how I feel in the morning as struggling to sleep a bit in this heatwave we’re having! What are you guys training today?

You look great in the picture. Good place to start from. I personally use loveheart and curecoming from the TrainedbyJP Range, also use the heart, liver and kidney stacks from supplement needs. That’s all to keep myself as healthy as possible while on and off cycle. Your starting on a good simple low dose so you probably won’t see many side effects but maybe keep an eye out for any aromatization side effects. Keep us posted if anything happens and we will try our best to guide you in the right direction!

Oscar shares a very valid point here. Food and digestion is probably the most important part of recovery. If your not recovering from food not much else you do is going to help! I don’t have salt baths or foam roll or anything like that really I don’t usually have much time to do that kind of stuff. I try and sleep atleast 6 hours a night but struggle at times and during prep I don’t tend to sleep much at all and calories are super low so it’s really hard to recover in that period!
