Heya Joe that’s great! Out of curiosity do you know the brand of hack and pendulum your gym has. I’m just interested!

Hi guys, happy Saturday in for my final session of the week. Hams glutes and a little delts. This Saturday session has been missed for the past 4 weeks and so today felt good. But a little weird. Fingers crossed for a good run of completed training weeks for the next couple months.

yes on chest press last session done 60 on each side put it down to 55 each side same reps and then on jm press i usally do 90 and it went down to 80 for one more rep sadly i dont have videos but ill ask the gym if im allowed for future references

Lovely example. Continue to reduce the load on here until your failure point is within 8-12 reps. As Marc mentioned, reset your lifts and then aim for that 8-12 rep range. If you need to reduce load all the way down to 20 aside, then so be it. In the long run working in that higher rep range will be so much better to aid in progressions.

Hiya Joe, do you have an example of a movement or a set where this happened? Might you have a video where we can see some of your training? It’s really very strange that with a considerable drop in load you’re still only able to perform 5 reps. In regard to ‘adapting’ to 8-12 I’d suggest reducing load further until you can get within the rep range. Seeing some of your training would be extremely helpful here.

Hello hello happy Friday. In for legs today. These Friday sessions have slowly become more quad and glute focused as I train hams and glutes the following day (usually) great session. Strength feels like it’s coming back across the week. A little tight in my adductors but overall a great session. Some posing after and I’m well and truly in a position where I would much benefit from a tidy up. Work for the rest of the day and ready for a lie in tomorrow

Hiya Piotr, that sounds like a fine idea to me. Electrolytes are great to help hydration apon wake as you’ve been having them but around training and in your intra can be beneficial especially if you have longer sessions to help avoid cramping. Better hydration = better performance. Plus they taste good. You sound like you’re keeping a good eye on hydration regardless. Trying it may benefit you.

Happy Wednesday my dudes. Up for a walk this morning and it finally feels like spring round here. In for hams glutes and delts today. Usually I don’t train the front end of my week back to back however time this week is not on my side. Adjusted things as needed so I’m not running myself into the ground. Great session. Nothing more to say other than it didn’t feel like a drag and progress was made.

Just as a note, from my own experience, I don’t typically suffer with shin splints but I DO find when I push pendulum for a while and I feel a little under recovered shin pain starts to creep up on me. Usually that’s a sign for me to rotate out the movement for a little while or rest. I also suggest to foam roll, stretch your calves and remember to apply even foot pressure across your foot/feet while doing compounds. Don’t do anything further that may really aggravate your shins right now.

Hello hello back home late last night and up for usual routine today. In for quads and glutes today and had a pretty good session. Strength is crawling back up, SI is feeling a bit tight. I was meant to see my chiro while I was unwell but I had to cancel. Did NOT want to make her sick. I’ll continue to do my best at home until my next appointment. Bodyweight is down a little but I’m sure with a week of training and food I’ll be back up 👍🏼 rest of the day was spent working and eating

no sadly i dont i try go as deep as i can though it’s literally just the pressure i dont think my shins can handle sadly the gym doesnt allow recording unless you ask but if that will help yous help me i can try get a video

No worries about a video! Previously (when you didn’t have this intense pain) did you perform them deeper?

no i never used to feel major pain it was like a couple weeks ago i done them warm up sets i got shooting pain down my whole leg in my shins i get them with every weight now apart from when i have nothing on it

Are you performing these with a lot of depth (ass to grass) and a lot of knee flexion? If you have any videos of you doing the movement that would be super helpful to see. If not it’s okay!

Hiya Joe, out of interest have you always felt this pain doing pendulum? From the very first time you did them or did you find that over time you started to feel pain in your shins?

Day 4 in Lithuania and last day here I. Kaunas. Heading back home this evening but spending the day walking a lot more. When I was last here in 2019 the city was going through a lot of construction. I also stayed outside the city in a village so a very different vibe this time round as the city feels brand new. Just had a coffee and a banging little pastry and MAYBE pick up one last round of Lithuanian food some point today before we head back home
