Back at it today after my rest days last week. My session went really good. Mentally locked in, body felt rested and I had a really good session.
All my usual push exercises today, but I swapped out cable flat press for the nautilus leverage chest press which felt good. The narrow cable stack was in use and to be honest I was going to wait over 5 mins for it today I just wanted to crack on.
Happy with the session overall. Just a point here that listening to your body / communication with your coach is key!

Day at the arcades today with the family, some downtime before back at it tomorrow in the gym with de-volume push.
Feedback from Kuba today, a few more weeks here in maintenance before heading into a deficit. Bodyweight is holding around 133kg, so this last 3 weeks not much shift really just around 1kg with some water dropping off. Looking forward to coming down a few kg to see how I’m looking before the push back up

Great work here Luke. If you wanted to wait another 2 weeks you could, but equally if you wanted to start to push back up gradually that would also be fine to do. Set some timelines for your push up also so you don’t stay in that phase longer than you need too

Solid work! Don’t focus on what could have been now though, focus on the hear and now. Keep mailing each day and the rewards / progress will soon stack up!

Not much happening today. Been a day spent with my youngest daughter and Kerry. Check in pics / update sent over to Kuba this morning for feedback tomorrow.
Watched the pre-judging for Tampa pro show. Hunter definitely has that show in the bag. Excites me watching these shows, can’t wait to be back up there next year

Legs was on the menu today. Plan was to go in with de-volume. Felt so tired as the day went on so decided it’s best I didn’t train so I took today as another rest day. I hate resting, but I also know I need to listen to my body so that’s what I did today

Guys thank you for your kind words. I feel like my body does not need to cut to grow right now. So in 6 weeks i will show check in and then decide what to do.

If your weight is going up then you are still in a surplus so need to adjust your food by eating more carbs. If your weight is going down you aren’t in a calorie surplus so you will need to increase your food.

Rest day today, second rest in a row on the back of how my first two sessions went for this week.
I had my massage today instead of my usual day yesterday because I went to Sheffield for the tbjp clothing shoot. Client work, steps and haircut made up the rest of my day.

Rest day today, headed over to Sheffield to shoot the new tbjp clothing range alongside Kuba and Meg today. The clothes are unreal, this is like gold dust I 100% know this is going to be a hit and sell out fast. The colourways / designs are so so good!
I also had an in person posing client at ultraflex today which was really cool to see how I helped transform his mandatory poses to display more of his physique

Not a productive session today. Definitely didn’t have much usual energy heading into todays session which I still think is impacting me not being back to 100%. A few exercises in and I had to end todays sessions because numbers / weight were way down. Frustrating really, should have listened to my body and rested

When is the last time you made any changes to your plan? Can you explain what you mean by sleep kinda well?

Think the team has all covered the main points here. Partial reps are useful for extended your sets beyond failure. This isn’t an approach I would use for every exercise though. Before thinking about partials make sure you are taking your current working sets to failure. Ones this has been exhausted you can add in the odd partial reps

First session of the week wrapped it up and it was push. Decent session ticked off, made the adjustments from training with Kuba last week on a few exercises with different cues (cable flyes, now standing instead of seated), cable y raise slight adjustment with my body position and cross body extension now going single arm instead.
Happy with how the session went. Definitely missed the pieces of kit I had last week (strive incline press, seated gym Leco chest press) that ultraflex Rotherham has, but I made it work with the kit I have and that’s the main thing.
Numbers slightly down today, but I’m putting this down to still not yet feeling 100%, but it was good mentally to still get in the gym and get at it.
Zoom posing session this morning, client check ins, steps and cardio made up my day. Oh and eating lol and that’s still taking me a while to eat each meal

0.5-1kg is an ok amount to lose weekly. As for cutting back on food on a rest day, having both training day and rest day calories would be useful as your output will be different on these days
