Can I ask were you both had this done if in the UK
Iβm in the USA and costs around 150-500 USD here i managed to get it for $150 at a local hospital

This is a great question i just got one as well and was at 58.
-
* i took the test 2 hours after training in case that matters*

I wouldn’t take high dose antioxidant supplements right before or after training because they can reduce the signals your body needs to adapt and repair muscle tissue. However, eating whole foods containing antioxidants or a greens powder around the training window is fine imo.
So probably best to avoid vitamin c and e seems like the culprits to avoid around the training window?

Prime bicep curl x 5 x 5 x 5 x 4
Seated leg press x 5 x 4 x 4 x 4 x 5
Single leg press x 6 x 5 x 5
Leg ext x 7 x 5 x 6 x 5
Single leg ext x 7 x 5
Really happy with that , that’s absolutely maxed out quad stimulus that’s for sure
Have you had any experience with AOD personally ? seems pointless for someone already taking GH would you say ?

I deal with this and have for many years. I have always freaked out about it. Usually the next step is the doctor orders an albumin to creatinine ratio test in urine. If you had the +1 protein it will probably be elevated. If issue continues it is good to continue monitoring through time. Although with good egfr, creatinine and cystatin c the doctors take it as the kidneys may be functioning good but if protein is flowing through they may be “stressed.”
I am still trying to find a good answer.
I actually go to a nephrologist about this as well for monitoring although I seem to freak out more than he does. He is still trying to figure out why. We have not been able to pinpoint it after many years. I do think this is more common in bodybuilders than we think, just many do not get these tests done with their standard bloodwork.
All you can do is be ANAL about all your kidney care. Eg. good BP, high dose astragalus, pycnogenol, hydration, inflammation etc. and continue monitoring. Some people this is caused by training. Some people can be genetic. If it is one of these I guess the big question that the nephrologist posed to me is, will this become a kidney issue down the road? There is no answer… But in the meantime, just be on top of your health and live life. Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot brother for this awesome well written reply. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in βgoogle rabbit holesβ and think there’s an issue when everything is fine ππ»I’m pretty sure I’ve always pissed this way lol but now I’m here taking pics of piss every day and driving myself nuts. I can’t change the damage i did when i was reckless in my 20s but my blood work looks good , Egfr is good and im doing everything i can to stay on top of it . Only so much we can do without driving ourselves nuts ππ»ππ»
This is very true , in a world of so much information we can and do end up over analysing things when there is no need.
However it’s best to be OTT than not care or pay attention that is for sure.
I never ever pay much attention to my pee tho I’ll be honest outside of the colour. I expect my pee to bubble in the toilet but I ain’t counting the bubbles lolol
Haha so true bro, Iβll stick with counting steps instead ππππ -

so to confirm you had bloods done and all is totally fine and the doctor also confirms he feels all is fine. You just notice some bubbles in your urine and feel there maybe issues that is not showing in blood work?
For me if all of this was fine then I would not be worried at all. Your only option from here if concerned would maybe to look for a second opinion or book private additional tests
Ya he said all was fine and thereβs a little protein in the urine .. i feel like this might more common with this community than any. He thinks itβs from high protein but of course if you google it turns into a rabbit hole of info all over tha place π€―π

Correct me if Iβm wrong but one of the only times you left reps in the tank was when you were hitting you hitting the whole body 3x a week a year or so ago and you did that because of the high frequency if i remember correctly

Last small push before diet time , will likely see me get to 296/297 over the next couple months then I’m very happy. Upper today. General Fatigue is very high now from workload but it is what it is .
Exciting things about to unfold , we get into the unit for MFG very soon, so that will be fitted out with an MFG show room gym , and then we have the room there for racking to store and fulfil kit.
I’m about to move out of the warehouse as it needs racking as we are entirely overflowing in the main warehouse , I am moving into my own private gym space , it’s very nice , I will decor that nice as we bought the warehouse so we are our landlords so can do whatever we want in there .
The huge warehouse that’s just come on the market across the road from the gym , we have just put an offer in to buy as well , it’s a perfect size for our own manufacturing. That will allow us to cut out costs a touch more for wholesale , and with the tbjp eu and eu wholesale site now active that’s a big deal.
2026 is defo the busiest year of my life so far with the most moving parts , the launching of new things , and the expansion of things . And competing again too π
How far before or after would you time taking taking antioxidants? I know this hasnβt been totally proven but Iβve always tried to avoid before and after training , just wondering the βsafeβ timeframe that they can be taken to not be detrimental to training

MemberJanuary 21, 2026 at 8:42 pm in reply to: JP prep 2024/25 – NO OFF TOPIC QUESTIONSDenis , the health stack we do . That covers your base for everything you need across all areas . Then simply do your cardio and don’t get fat , while managing e2 , and BP will stay ok . If it creeps , assess why , look at potassium to sodium ratio and increase potassium as needed . Look at the drugs your using that cause excess sodium retention ( test and gh do this ) , so again run those in moderation if bp is creeping
Do you still get 10 hours of sleep? I can honestly say this is one of the most underrated and most important pieces of advice from you. It always ceases to amaze how some pros say they can get under 8 hours .. if i go more than 3 days under 8 hours i get sick. 10 hours of sleep is more important than increasing doses on anything ππ»πͺπ»
