I agree with Clare above ⬆️ I found some good feedback with healing when utilising the shockwave alongside all the other products above
Also a little bit of tiger balm on it morning and afternoon too helps a whole lot. Just don’t use it to numb it when training and training through as it won’t get better
Once you have had it though you’re more prone to getting it. When you go back to train ensure form is tight, load isn’t too heavy for you to handle and any movements that really aggregate it try and find an alternative that doesn’t

Evening All
Hope you’ve all had a great Sunday
A normal Sunday, client check ins and client call (lead by Kuba) today
Then I headed to the gym to see one of my long term clients to run through a couple of movements that don’t feel good for her
And then into my pull sessions. I felt nice and strong on all lifts, but feeling a tad knackered this evening so a nice chill tonight and early bed needed

Saturday,
We headed to the new ultra flex to train today, for push.
Was great as a lot of the same machines were there so was able to have a close session to normal, I don’t track my lifts when I’m in a different gym as it won’t be frequent that I go back. But I felt strong today, which is real nice
I’ve been struggling with my elbows because of the smith squats, so I saw James had posted a vid with a bar to turn the smith into a safety bar, it looks similar to Michaelas so I’m going to get one so I can keep on squatting because I love. I haven’t hack squatted in 3 years, I guess I could try but my knees just scream when im doing it and i don’t want to end up with really sore knees

I think it’ll be best placed on your rest days yes. Post workout when fitting a full body split probably isn’t going to be super ideal. LISS will be best for recovery atm whilst in a diet phase
For health benefits when you go into your push phase of eating, id probably aim to keep a sesion or 2 in per week on a rest days with some HITT

Hope you’ve all had a Good Friday.
A morning filled of work, food prepping, dog walking + seeing my grandparents.
We had the pleasure of seeing the new ultra flex in north Leeds this afternoon, the location is great, some fab parking and a great set up, amazing to see the gyms expand and grow year on year.
Push day tomorrow!

How rounded are we talking? Do you have a visual?
I agree with Oscar more upper back to support can help, I know I find it much easier to lock in since developing my back. But I can’t imagine it being that weak not to be able to lock in?
Maybe a visual as it may be the fact you’re leading with your torso to do the movement rather than actually actioning hip extension

Hey All
Hope you’ve all had a good Thursday
A solid day in the gym today. I’ve incorporated an SLDL into this session as the RDL was plateauing for 4 rotations at 8 reps so will run the SLDL for a while and come back to the RDL again later in the year.
Rest day tomorrow, look forward to it and the work that needs to be done 🙂

If you’re taking your knees into flexion you’ll get a LOT of quad work. Aim to let the knees lead the way rather than the hips.
Feet hip width, toes facing forwards and knees driving over the toes

Yeah I’m with Claire, I’d run a off upper legs off pull push legs.
I find personally if the 3 days need to go in a row for PPL that push should sit between the pull and legs cause I find doing legs one day then trying to load anything on my back for my squat variation is awful 🙏🏼

Hey Guys
Pull day, some really good sets.
I didn’t progress much this session with load but extra reps and some hold with loads just to make sure my pauses were being met as I definitely rushed them the last couple of weeks.
Tomorrow is a rest day, going to have a relaxed rest day which I’m excited for, sitting to work, maybe the cinema in the evening and chill out as the last few have been a little on the go

Yes getting some adaptations to your plan will work really well.
For the fun scenario above you should go
To the gym that has the best kit, that sounds like the one with only 1 hamstring machine. You can always do a lying cuffed single hamstring curl or a DB lying hamstring curl if you need a second variationMeg Sylvester IFBBPRO

Why on earth would you be “going through the motions” and expecting that to yield the results you want?
Operate with excellent movement integrity, in a controlled, deliberate fashion, moving maximal load, progressively from session to session, without compromising the controllables.
Hi Rich, what I meant by that is I am still doing it controlled and standardising form, and progressing every session but let’s say the eccentric is 1 sec versus going slightly lighter and doing 3-4 sec eccentric. My joints cannot take the heavy weight and speed of progression when I add any anabolics in[/quote]
You may need to reset if you’re going with a slower tempo but your joints if anything will feel better as you do get back to previous weights you were liftingMeg Sylvester IFBBPRO
