Happy evening all

Off-season is going well – obviously the drop off of PEDs 6 weeks ago has seen a little decline in my pressing strength. I always see it. We’ve re-set and added a pause in my presses so I stop stressing and trying to use anything but my shoudlers / pec to get the same weight up haha.

Push was fabulous today. And I look forward to pull tomorrow!

The theatre yesterday was okay, made mums day for me to go so that’s all that matters and me mum and dad always have lots of laughs. The actual performance was a little poop 💩 apart from the couple scenes the lady we knew were in as they are always the funny scenes and her and her friend have incredible voices

Hey Guys a fantastic leg day yesterday ✔️

Got the chance to train alongside Leroy Davis. I’d have loved to be able to back in his and Dorians prime. But an honour non the less!!

Managed a solid PB on my smith squats so I am really really happy about that!!

Watched the podcast anth, Dan, kuba and Leroy did around old school Vs new school was great 👍🏽

Is this podcast being released or been released?
It hasn’t yet been released but definitely look out for the announcement as it’s fantastic

I agree with Kuba…it may be worth getting some private bloods also, someone who can help with best plan of action too. If you’re in the UK Eval Blood Analysis are great for this. Docs here see something slightly out of range and don’t help so much, but when you feel awful it’s not nice to feel like this!

See how the 100mcg changes your panel and then you can look to adjust accordingly. Even when you find a dose that’s working, still look to run bloods every few months to check all is still okay too

Happy Tuesday

Hope you’ve all had a great start to the week.

A nice early start and client check ins done nice and early, helps them to implement changes that day, so that we’d don’t loose a day worth of stepping forward.

This evening my mums booked for us to go to the theatre so I’m looking forward to that, just a small theatre near to us as a lady who is leading is my old dance partner and one of my mums work colleagues so should be super great!

• I agree with Oscar.

I had this a few weeks ago I had to re-set with a deload, drop the volume and then get back to training.

Now I’m getting stronger and my physique looks better for it

Hope you’ve all had a nice Monday

A busy day after being away for a couple of days catching up on house jobs and some admin bits for the both of us.

Lots of work done and nice and productive. It’s a really cool part of the year here we have lots of clients starting prep now, the most clients I’ve had competing this year but all are very ready for it

Rest day today and Mother’s Day in the UK.

We spent today travelling home from Durham and catching up on some house work and tidying with being away for the night.

And some work too, which a great call this morning with our teams around managing hunger in comp prep / any other diet phases

A nice meal out to celebrate Mother’s Day and back home for an early night ahead of tomorrow 🙂

As much as we don’t want too much expenditure in a gaining phase, we want enough to aid health, fitness levels, digestion and appetite

So I think keeping some cardio in play and steps is important.
I agree with kuba on where to start and can be manipulated from there

I agree with Michaela. The look is just as important, there may be some reasons as to why you’re not seeing a rise and times you see more too and the look plus performance has to be a key in decisions made also

I agree with rich a wide stance leg press is where I’d go. I have had some clients set up between two cables sat on a bench and cuffs just below the knee emulating a adductor maxhine but gets a little tricky getting in and out safely when going heavy

Evening All

A great pull day today – I missed my hip thrusts at the end as we’re doing 3 days on as kuba has an exciting session and podcast tomorrow – so I will tag them to the end of my leg session tomorrow

We’ll be taking a little trip to the Durham Ultra Flex which will be fun.

Then a 2 solid rest days back to back will be well earned (or just necessary haha)

This is probably the least complimentary photo. Coming off a weekend of cheat meal(s). No pump, after a full day of eating.
Goal: become ‘off season’ bodybuilder size. 15% BF

Here bud you are about 27/8 % bf

You need around 35 lbs off to get below 15% from this point here bud realistically
Do you think a course of keto would be warranted to drop some excess body fat?

Thanks for the feedback all.
No you don’t need to go keto. Some meals may go protein / fat at some point in your diet phase if it’s needed. But reduce cals by 300 per day. Add in a little amount of cardio, see how things go in the first 7 days and then take it from there

I’m with Hilly – to go into a long growing phase where you can actually build up the food progressively over time to aid progress, you don’t want to be starting that with body comp in an off position. Pull yourself back before you begin the push

Morning All

Yesterdays session was super positive. A push day. For me usually my strength on push dips a little as I come away from a PED cycle but it’s actually held and even progressed a little this time which is fab

The session was :
Lying DY raise
Cybex mid inline
Strive high incline
Prime neutral grip press
Cross body lateral raises
Cross body tricep extension

Look forward to pull later
