We have ran 2 rest days post our last session due to feeling a little tan into the ground

Obviously our idea was to run a deload and “get fresh” in vegas and then we got a little poorly so that wasn’t possible so much. So at this point we are just going to re – set some big numbers hit across last week and we need to keep that going and my body wasn’t ready for that the last 2 sessions.

I used to hate taking rest, now when I know I need I remind myself it’s for the bigger picture. We will return back with a 1 on 1 off with 3 sessions at last set only then back to work

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend

A nice rest day full of check ins and other work bits needed doing ahead of the new week.

It’ll not be long till the competing season starts in the UK for all amateurs, it’ll be a great year for all my lovely clients as all competing are in a good spot right now so exciting year ahead. The competing season always seems to make the year go super quick

I find my DB press stops progressing when I get a little greedy – I would re-set and aim to keep things tight as you progress with weight slowly.

If you’ve ran it for a long time you can look to switch or change the rep range to have a different focus for now and return to it at a later date

Hope you’ve all had a great saturday

A really great session and strong session today – feels great to feel this way.

Getting strong is what I know, it’s what I enjoy. It’s the way I’ve only know to show serious progress in my physique so when things are progressing like this it’s just great.

A great push session today with some little load progressions 🙏🏼

The incline Atlantis with an extra 10kg and 1 extra rep. The shoudlers Atlantis with 5kg extra and 1 more rep

Had one of my best friends join me for the session today, which was so nice. We trained together as divers, so I’ve known him a really long time. Trained and caught up. Was just lovely. It’s amazing to have someone so supportive of everything and I do him with all he does too x

Rest day was certainly welcomed today after yesterdays session.

I expected to wake an feel super beat but I actually feel pretty good- I wouldn’t want to be training today but I feel good.

All work and house work done ☑️ ready for a couple days of back to back training.

I have this real itch to compete this year. As much as I know I’ve improved. I do feel that extra 6 months will really have me with the density I need for my shows 🙂

I like the term “hobby builder” you can certainly obtain a good physique whislt still allow for the meal at night with your family.

I presume the menu isn’t all you can eat or heavy take away a each evening as obviously no it wouldn’t be. But eating a sensible portion of a good home cooked meal with the family won’t do damage to your physique at all.

Eat smart, move well, train hard and you’ll enjoy it and still be present with all family occasions

Hope you’re all having a great day

A morning filled with work – before heading to the gym.

A solid leg session – my more hammies and glute focused of the 2
    Which is
    Adductor
    RDLs
    Lying ham curl
    Leg press
    Walking lunge
    Hip thrusts
    Calves
    And some lat top up

Hit up 160kg for 11 and then 180 for 3, I’ll probably start with 170 or 180 next session as long as all is firing good and get to work on some good reps on those. Things are moving nicely during the push ✔️ looking forward to solidify new muscle this year ahead of prep

Rest Day today – a normal week day rest day – with work, dog walking, house jobs.

This offseason phase is going really well so far. After this “push” with assistance I will spend sometime in a surplus – before coming into a maintenance and then into a nice mini cut ahead of repeating that process however the next time I do a diet phase it’ll be my “pre prep phase” crazy how quick things go when they are broken down like that – hoping there’s a fraction of a glute this time next year 🤣

You’ve definitely answered your question here if HITT impacts your recovery and you’re mainting your physique well without it I wouldn’t.

I know HITT can aid with keeping cardiovascular health in a great place – so what you could do is tag a HITT to the end of an upper session prior to a rest day that way you should get the benefits and be fully recovered by that next session xx

Bodybuilding competitively can be pretty harsh on someone’s food relationship whether they’ve had past issues or not because of the constant focus on food and body weight and the look.

I don’t think it’s the “tracking” for most that’s the problem as most people who want to lead a healthy life like to know what they are putting into there body or they just get an understanding for most foods macros that they don’t need to track anymore.

Hunger signalling usually comes from a little bit of boredom, lack of hydration or from being heavy in a deficit for the long time – the first 2 are easy to fix the lady will take some time being out of a deficit

If you don’t want to track – that’s cool – I have some clients who have stepped away from competing and we approached it like this : having 4 smaller meals per day – from your plan before you know the difference between a good sized portion and over doing it – staying active through doing things you want.

Hunger isn’t bad I think unless someone is deep into an offseason there will always be hunger

Hope you’ve all had a great Monday

A normal day of working before heading to the gym to train pull –

A really solid session, with some good progress. Feels great to work and feel a nice pump through my back / upper when training push / pull at the moment

I’m currently 5 weeks into cycle now with another 2 remaining – look forward to making more progress throughout this offseason

If you could add pictures from now and post your diet.

If you ate a little over board at Christmas, obviously it’s a little lesson for next time. We’ve all been there. From having s heavy diet prior and dropping a lot of weight I’d be reluctant to go back into a diet, but may adjust how long the push is prior to re-setting and going again

But some pics will show us a little more to help

    Hey All

Hope you’ve had a great Sunday and weekend!

A lovely day work and seeing my family before heading to the gym.

Was also super nice to chat up with @rheagayle on the phone yesterday too 💜

Todays session was real solid – achieved my goal of 2 plates for good reps on the incline cycbex smith press – 8 reps.
Some adjustments made to todays session from kuba some additional side delt work to aid my delt + width growth before moving to the prime flat press from the gym shop – a great session ✔️
