Started warming up for legs today, but called it after a couple of light squat variations. I think I need a bit of extra rest. I’ve been training 5 days a week without any kind of deload for the past 12ish weeks, whereas before I used to deload every fourth week. I think that, combined with the fact that I’m at the tail end of my cut means I need a bit of extra recovery this week. So be it.
That’s quite a significant time without a deload and doing 5 days a week. Good call to just rest up. I’m terrible for resting but sometimes you need to pull things back to progress further. All about the bigger picture!

Nice workout there! Talking of writing up a split I need to do the same for when things are open on the 25th. Have an idea of what I’ll do but not put it down on a document format lol
Definitely worth putting it onto a document.
Getting me excited to get into it, counting down the days till the gym reopens, but I’m not sure if I will be training more at work or at muscle works. If we need to book slots for regular gyms it’s going to be challenging, as I don’t like rushing my sessions.

Wrote out a split and rotation idea on my log so if you ever have a chance to take a look and let me know your thoughts bud ?? I definitely can relate to bw dropping when bodyweight is at its peak. Holy moly that’s strong. Well done! I can’t wait to use a trap bar again! I completely forgot about that being a great pull variation. Especially in a deficit which I’ve not tried!

On my rest days I fill it with client work, new set ups, responding to applications or creating content.
There is always ‘something’ to do in the world of online businesses.
However, I do like to ensure that I have some time during the day to switch off and relax when possible, this is usually in the evening for around an hour ????I’m guilty of not switching off lol. I have to force myself to stay off emails and admin work on Sundays ???? Do all my weekly check ins with clients on Saturdays now!

Nice one. As someone who competed in Powerlifting for good number of years before fully switching to physique goals. This is definitely something I’ll deff be following ????

Was running Pull/Push/Legs/off/repeat, now looking at Pull/Push/off/legs/off/repeat. Reason being, I want to hip hinge consistently so I figured I will rotate RDL and Trap Bar DL on pull day, and that lets me focus on safety bar squat and front squats on Leg day. I always single leg ham curl and glute-ham raise on leg day either way.
That’s awesome! Good idea with the change of split if you’re aiming to hip hinge on a more consistent basis. I was doing Upper/Lower before this all happened and was hoping to go into Push/Pull/Legs again. But Full body seems to be the best solution right now, bit worried legs aren’t getting enough work with limited load and movements. Pendulum and Hack were my prime lower day movements. Been doing more uni-lateral leg work now, split squats, step-ups, reverse lunges, Bulgarians, etc.

DB Floor Press I quite like it, on a bench the stability is too much if a problem to get anything decent with regards to load. I’d prob would opt to drop the weight, use two Dumbells either slow down the tempo, throw in some longer pauses and milk out as much as you can using different intensifiers. Or use a band to add more resistance.

I totally feel you with conditioning vs actual failure lol. I feel like I could do more but I’m lying on the floor dying gasping for breath lmao. But My conditioning has improved a lot now. Especially now I’m doing ig live workouts for work lol so extra workouts for me!

Even I’d be pissed off if all the plates were off, you feel that difference on barbell and plate loaded work for sure especially shifting the weight you do. How come you’re at muscle works, just easier location wise?
