Day 5 today and I woke up positive and did my first round of rehab after breakfast and some work. And had made massive improvements.

I did notice as the day went on my pain increased and swelling and bruising increased. Day 5-7 is usually the worst. But I thought I was doing ok then this evening hit me hard. It was rough.

Throbbing and warm like it was pulsing my ankle and calf and quad were quite visibly swollen and painful to touch. I just can’t get comfy, I’m icing every hour this evening.

Still no ibuprofen. Just 3 lots of paracetamol today and I had some codeine tonight because I will be getting zero sleep at this rate

I did have a panic thinking is this normal. But it is normal I’ve basically had 5 different procedures in one sitting and gone through massive tissue trauma.

So I’ve just got to keep doing what him doing and put up with the pain and crack on

Been a tough couple of days as expected. Took my dressings off today day 4 so I could shower etc and re dress the wounds.

There was a lot more blood than I expected but I got the dressing off eventually with some help and cut it off. Showered which was a right task. But felt better for it.

Had my first physio session with Toby. And he’s very happy with progress in extension and quad activation, I’ve just not got to get carried away.

There was some swelling and bruising come out today and the pain was higher. As expected. It’s probably going to get a little tougher over the next few days. Sleep isn’t great. And I feel pretty useless. But it’s all part of the process.

Personally for me no. But assess if you can tolerate a little and still sleep fine

Day 2 – post surgery. Little more swelling today. And pain is much more apparent now nerve blockers have worn off.

Although I have more stability and ability to weight bare. I’m bored of being sat down already.

Rehab was frustrating and painful today. Really fucking frustrating…..your leg won’t do what you want it to do. It just can’t. And it hurts. But I will make sure I keep working to get it there. I’ve got another round of rehab to do now’s and then chill for the night. That will be 3rd one today I will go to 4 after seeing Toby Wednesday.

I have my bandage off then and have a waterproof dressing on.

    We keep positive

    PHASE 1: MAXIMUM INTERVENTION
    Weeks 1-4

    -BPC-157: 1mg twice daily
    -TB-500: 1mg twice daily
    -Klow Blend: 5mg daily
    -LL-37: 350mcg daily
-Growth Hormone: 6 IU daily (4 IU pre-bed, 2 IU fasted)

This is the critical healing window. Tissue repair is most active in the first 4 weeks. Saturating the system with healing peptides drives angiogenesis, collagen deposition, and organised tissue repair whilst LL-37 prevents infection when risk is highest.

Obviously health supps too Will be the full JP range and doubling up doses on certain supps for max effectiveness

    Today was surgery day

I arrived at hospital at 6:45am 305lbs – 30lbs down from xmas. Exactly why I said I would be for the op, I went down for surgery around 9:15am

The staff were very very good. I felt super confident and comfortable. Pheebs stayed with me until I went down and then she went to train.

I woke up around 1:45pm in the recovery room. I was in theatre around 3 hours, 2 surgeons worked on me. They had to do a little more work when they opened me up. And I’m going have a nice scar down my knee cap/patella tendon, a bigger scar than I wanted but as long as I recover I’m happy.

They used a B2B patella tendon graft for my curate. They had to tidy my tibia up from the previous surgery as it was untidy and needed shaving a little. Also there was a slight shift of my knee cap. Well as fixing both medial and lateral
    Meniscus tears.

They then did an LET lateral endoscopy tenodesis where they use quad tendon to stabilise my lateral knee function.

So a pretty big surgery. They said they don’t know how I’d managed to hold the muscle or do what I had done for so many years.

Anyway because of the procedure I’m in a knee brace fixed other than my rehab for 2 weeks with minimal flexion allowed, which wasn’t the original plan. But because what they had to do once inside things the case. So it’s like a big cricket pad. So my bone fuses how they want. I still need to work on extension and quad activation, so that will be the most important aspect for the next 2 weeks .

I am in a little pain and I’m getting used to crutches but still wait baring partially.

I’ e had a little oramorph and some codeine-post op, and just had some more to hopefully help sleep.

I do have some laxilase they provided me to keep regular. With the codeine. I very tired so I’m getting my head down and hopefully I sleep ok

Will keep you all updated / fire away with any questions

Agree with hilly on this one you have a few options but your set up will have to be a little different. I would suggest adjusting the stack slightly rather than adding in AI’s

    Test, Primo/mast & NPP

    Test EQ/Mast NPP

Upper with pheebs last session before the op. Upper my food a touch today to start to prepare me for recovery. I’m not going to be able to do cardio for a while. My steps are going to be low. But I will need sufficient protein and carbs for recovery.

So it’s going to be a difficult phase but need to fully focus on recovery. Once I can commit to a phase again I can’t wait to get skinned and then reverse out. That will be the goal.

Got all my peptides from Proforma for recovery I will outline my plan next week!

“Mainganing” not really a thing because you can never truly eat at maintenance as your maintenance calories change on a daily basis so your are either in a deficit or a small surplus. More than likely eating in a surplus on TD and deficit in NTD so you level out across the week.

To make consistent progress you need to be in a surplus consistently, enough to trend forward at a steady rate. Without getting too fat.

If your TD and NTD calories are keeping your average weight the same for 2 weeks consistently add 2-300 kcals to both days and his will be co trolled enough to move forward but stay in control of fat gain.

Maingaining works on paper for beginners for anyone serious about progress pick a direction. Surplus or deficit and commit to it

So today was a long day but a very good day as I had my court case for a driving ban. I represented myself and mitigate my case pretty well pheebs said as she was in the gallery. The clerk also said I spoke well. Got a fine but got let off with a slapped wrist 12 points and keep my license. I just need to not do anything daft for a couple of years until some points come off.

Rehab done, another rehab tomorrow and then last one Thursday and upper again Thursday before I rest up for my operation
