Decent push session today. Had a little more shoulder emphasis on todays push. Got PBs on everything today, Strength is the best it has been thanks to the additional calories. Still not blown to shit yet, was expecting with such a weight increase i would look watery and shit but my body seems to be absorbing it in all the right places. It’s finally getting what it wants and needs.

Genetics will play the biggest role here. Obviously large amounts of steroids over a long period can result in loss of hair, particularly in those more prone to it, again this is still predominantly genetic based. Skin wise, depends on the quality of gear, diet, supplement regime, again taking moderate amounts won’t impact you skin and again it’s genetic based. So basically just take moderate amounts and eat v clean with a perfect supplement regime and you will still stay looking handsome, like me ????

Its pretty hard to lose muscle on anabolics, i see lots of people worrying about this all the time, anabolics are used in muscle wasting diseases for a reason l, because they preserve muscle and do it very well. I know guys who worry about losing muscle on 500mg test a week because they’ve dropped 100kcals lol. Any both approaches would work really but it makes sense to me to drop cals when you don’t need so many.

Appreciate the reply Ryan, it’s quite rare to see bodybuilders utilise a higher fat approach so was really interested, it’s cool to see.
Even though they say it’s all about energy balance, do you find you can stay leaner with a higher fat approach as oppose to a higher carb diet, even if cals are equates?

I feel like i can utalise my insulin and other hormones a little more with my high fat approach. I’m super sensitive to carbs and as i don’t use insulin Its good to have a good natural response. For me it’s all about tracking diegestion and energy. I don’t have carbs at breakfast but do pre, post and post post. offseason i may put in pre bed for sleep too.

Do it during the cruise buddy, your still using anabolics so muscle loss is v unlikely unless you drop to next to no cals. Have a tidy up, get your insulin responsive ready for a big push when you come off the cruise

Awesome back session today, was going to take it easy post show but feeling great and want to utalise this food and rebound. Currently tracking under ryanpetford on myfitnesspal. still working out calories and sources. When i have the perfect combo of cals, energy and digestion i will post in my diet section. I have updated my anabolics section so you can see what I’m doing for a rebound. Current weight 120kg. Attached is my breakfast which will stay consistent.

Hey Ryan, been really enjoying your log, I notice you follow a higher fat and lower carb approach.. how long have you ate this way? and have you noticed much of a difference in body composition wise to a higher carb approach?

hey m8, this is what i had to do to get my weight down, i will be looking at utilising more carbs this offseason so will post what I’m doing. Now I’m really looking to grow into supers i will still utalise alot of fat as i respond well to them. I’m aiming for 6,000 cals eventually. I will put the new diet in my diet section. My rebound will be 300mg test and 400mg npp split over 4 shots to avoid impact on estrogen. Then I’m coming off completely for fertility. I should reach 125kg before i come off so will post pics etc

I was wondering is there anything in your training that you specifically do to develop a “classic” physique? I noticed you do your hack squats similar to Tom platz I think? Anything else like that?
hey buddy, thanks m8, I’ve always just trained hard and posed like the golden era guys. I think the difference between eras is probably more drug use. So i never really push more than i need to as the golden era guys didn’t have much to use. Obviously posing like them for 17 yrs has given my body that natural shape and flow, so i can hit shots comfortably because of the amount of practice i have had.
