Following on from Phoebe – what does your pressing look like? Do your knees come inwards ? Do you have a stability issue through the compound motions ? Knees coming inwards is an indication of glute weakness , and it seems what you’ve mentioned it could be correlated to issues with your glutes as you’ve not been hitting them. I would deffo get some glute work in your training if you’re currently not doing any .

Happy sunday crew! I hope everyone is having a good day! Legs was done and dusted today and it went very well despite the toe situation! All movements either matched or beat previous log numbers, I managed to work my way into the pendulum without too much pain, I wasn’t able to load it up , however I did 1 set lighter weight utilising a BRF (blood flow restriction ) approach which did the job – so I should be able to load the left foot properly very soon, but I was pleasantly surprised how well this session went! spent the rest of the day cleaning the house , I always like to do this on a sunday to start the week off strong, then write out my plan for the week before an offplan with my partner tonight – into Monday we go!!

Hey Tobias. Firstly sorry for your loss, losing a parent at that age is never easy. I lost my mum at that age also and one thing that bodybuilding has taught me is how far you can go physically and mentally, you’re waaaay stronger in both areas than you think. Use these deficits to keep you focused, give you a goal, give you a purpose. This deficit you’re in , will guide you to success/where you want your physique to be. Think about how you want to make your dad proud. I think of my mum every day and how she would want me to give it 100% instead of sitting and feeling sad. One thing that has helped me to understand my emotions is journalling, getting everything out of my head and on paper, so I would definitely look into this if you can.
When it comes to the food focus side of things, remember, food will always be there and much like Jordan said, the more you diet the more you understand/more you expect, things don’t feel so overwhelming. Keep your chin up and stay positive – you’ve got this.

Do the same stuff, day in and day out for a long period of time, the more you learn, the more you’ll understand and get out of the process. You’re also on the best forum for this, you’ve got multiple IFBB pros who live and breath this lifestyle, learn from them. But remember it TAKES TIME.

What happens with it? Froth? Clumpy? Never had an issue with it myself , so might just need a little more shaking!

Evening team! Hope everyone is well! So another day done andddd I’ve broken my toe! I won’t go into detail as to how I did it but it’s bloody painful 😂 trained upper today and it did make it relatively hard, I’ve got legs tomorrow so it looks like compounds are out , and a pure focus on isolation work might be the way forward – I was bloody looking forward to burying myself on the pendulum tomorrow aswell! It is what it is, and it should heal quickly , but still frustrating! Regardless I’ll still give it everything I can anyway!

I wouldn’t say there’s a way to slow metabolism but if you’re struggling to get food in – what does your daily diet set up look like? There might be some swaps you could make to make putting weight on a little easier. Plus it also raises the question, some people think they’re eating enough, when in the grand scheme of things they’re not , so pop up your diet so we can see and guide you appropriately! 🙂

I think its good to keep it in for many reasons (body comp, digestion etc) I’ve always done 20 mins twice weekly and its enough to keep things ticking along

Evening squad!! First day back in the gym and it was interesting to say the least! Chest still let me know that I’m not 100% so this session was very much about getting some blood moving , still pretty happy with how things went, but need to not be a dick and push myself into a hole. Pretty sure I’m running a temperature as-well due to how much I’m sweating just sitting down/how warm I’m feeling , so if this continues I’ll be heading to the doc (but hoping it doesn’t!) I do have a rest day tomorrow anyway, so this will work well giving my body another little additional rest , so will assess and go from there!

First thing I would address here is your water intake – are you going into your sessions dehydrated? as this can have a huge impact on your pumps etc – also are you using a hydration product? TBJP hydration has an amazing panel on it , providing you with all the appropriate electrolytes needed to avoid cramping etc. This is normally the first thing I would address/have address if I’ve ever felt this way before.

Another day of rest completed , felt like absolutely ass today (even more so since being back from NYC) however I am feeling better this evening so will be back easing myself into training tomorrow morning. Just looking forward to getting back to training and some normality !

When I’ve had clients with potential issues with certain foods, I’ve done exactly what Clare has mentioned and run an elimination diet – a really effective way of finding out what’s causing an issue – so if you feel there’s an issue somewhere within you diet , remove and add in one at a time – youll find out an issue relatively quickly

Finally home on UK soil!! Todays flight felt like it lasted forever! But home now which is good! I am , however, full of flu now so feel pretty grim! I have check in with cal tomorrow so will update him on everything and will take an additional rest day tomorrow, as I do feel like death warmed up! NYC was amazing but I’m most certainly glad to be back in my own home and getting back to normality !

If it’s fine on digestion then I don’t see why not! As many other athletes have said, I would personally opt for sourdough if you can , but if not usual bread is fine. Just make sure that you have a variety of carbohydrate sources in your diet 🙂
