Happy Christmas Eve everyone! I hope you’ve all had a brilliant day!

Started today off with a very good posterior session – hitting some good numbers across the board and feeling out some new movements which went well! As I mentioned previously we’ve popped in a leg press to my posterior session and it felt brilliant today , so I’m excited to give these a good run! The remainder of the day was spent doing some work and travelling to the family for Christmas – which is always lovely! Onto the pigs in blankets classic tomorrow!! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!!

I couldn’t agree more with the above comments , but as Jordan said it’s not something you HAVE to do. Its something I’ve always done due to the reasons above but if its something that doesn’t work for you then don’t feel you have to implement it 🙂

Early push session done today along with a good massage! Push session was good, with numbers improving across the board which I’m super happy about! Then spent the afternoon working through clients and finishing off a few little Christmas bits and bobs! Posterior tomorrow morning before travelling down to my dads for xmas!

    Hey B! Hope you’re good!

If pressing causes too much aggravation I would focus a large percentage of shoulder work on isolation movements like laterals etc for the time being – however I would also recommend getting regular treatment on the area (apologies if you do this already), have you seen a physio for this issue before? Furthermore, when you mention an issue with stability in standing presses, it might be worth adding in some shoulder stability work (rotator cuff focus, serratus anterior work etc) alongside some core work aswell, if we can’t base ourselves well when doing exercises, we’re just opening ourselves up to further injury, much like if you have an instability within that shoulder joint, how can we progress shoulder movements if that shoulder is unstable. I hope that makes sense!

Good morning all and a happy Sunday!

So woke up feeling pretty beaten up so decided to take my usual sunday rest day , I did mention about going In for push today dependant on how I feel, but decided against it and to rest and just go in for my usual push tomorrow. Already been up and doing work this morning then going to head over to the flat for cleaning.

    2025 has been set in place now too which is super exciting – shows are as follows;

    NY pro

    Toronto

    Spain

Prep begins on the 27th of Jan and I honestly cannot wait, this offseason has been one of the most productive I’ve had and I couldn’t be more ready to hit prep hard. Whatever happens happens next season and I know I’ve done all I could have this offseason to ensure the appropriate improvements have been made . I also know the environment in which I’m in this year is night and day better than what it has been previously. Things are going to be really very good next year and I can’t wait to get things going!

Today was another good day in the bag! Check in with Tom today, happy with how we’re moving, just continue on as we are, both myself and Tom are happy with where we are at currently, especially with prep around the corner.

Legs completed this morning, and it went very well! All movements progressed and some really good connection points too – which makes me very happy 🙂

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day but I’m likely going to go in to ensure I get the block of training done that I need to prior to Christmas, so push will be done tomorrow most likely 🙂 which is always a good session! So we shall see!

Following on from Jordan here – it’s hugely individual dependent. I always used to preach high volume for legs bur since I switched my training to low volume, my legs have grown the most they ever have. Do what works for you, not what everyone else is doing.

Same as a lot of the other athletes here ! 1-2 times a night usually , which is super normal! 🙂 so I wouldn’t worry!

  • Agree with the above – I would deffo look at increasing RD fats and carbs. But also like Allison said , don’t just feel like you need to increase for the sake of increasing , if training etc are still progression and comp is good then leave as is and increase a little when things stall 🙂 always have a purpose as to why you’re doing things

Rest day today! Chilled day with a massage to begin with! Been having a little more lower back pain recently so having my therapist work through it was bliss , so that’s set me up nicely for upper tomorrow 🙂

Also saw my godson tonight which was lovely – so a very wholesome evening!

    Hey Peter

I can’t say I’ve ever heard of GH effecting sleep, and I’ve personally never had any issues myself.

When it comes to sleep there are so many variables that can cause sleep to be disrupted, stress, caffeine too close to bed, overstimulation prior to bed time (screen exposure etc). I know you mentioned there wasn’t anything done differently outside of the growth being added, but you did mentioned you’ve had issues with sleep before – what was it that triggered these? Is it possible that something caused this to happen again?

Posterior completed today – was a pretty hefty session tbh! Cal has added a little more quad exposure to training so we’ve added in a narrow stance legs press now, which felt really good! So numbers are set and I’m looking forward to running the numbers up on that! Rest day tomorrow which I’m looking forward to as feeling pretty beaten up, so massage in the morning then rest! Much needed!

I’ve done 2ml bad water previously, don’t know why it’s just what I’ve always done. But that being said I have , from time to time , done 1ml too for ease of drawing into the pin. As the other athletes have mentioned it doesn’t effect the dose 🙂

    Agree with Nathan here

If your lifts are progressing , growth will come. Ensure you’re eating a solid diet, getting a good amount of sleep and killing it in the gym . No need to overcomplicate stuff!
