I like to alternate between the two – just for variety a lot of the time!

I’ve got upper to train tomorrow which I’m excited for , and a little travelling in the morning to see my first timer who’s coming up to 7 weeks out!
Another day to be better!

Hey Alfie ! In the training sessions are they mostly drill based? or do you typically have different aims for each sessions? So for example the first training sessions is predominantly fitness based with some skill based work at the end , and the other session is predominantly skill based. Or are they both very similar? do you do any S&C work with the club?

Just weigh out what I need and add boiling water to it 🙂 add as much water as needed to reach the desired consistency 🙂 but like Kam said – we all have our own way of doing things!

MemberSeptember 24, 2024 at 8:57 pm in reply to: Sara Bradley IFBB WPD – Aim for the Olympia !Posterior session done today and it was absolutely unbelievable. New numbers across all movements and head was well and truly on. During previous training sessions admittedly I’ve been getting distracted by messages from clients on my phone, if anyone truly knows me, knows that I really struggle to leave things alone and feel the need to message back straight away, and it was this that was distracting my sessions. So, in the last few sessions I’ve placed my phone on aeroplane mode and it’s enabled me to well and truly focus on my own training, and today the benefits of this truly shone through.
I had the best people around me today at the shed – being around people that are there to push me and spot me when needed is the best. We are all there to spot each other and cheer each other on, the gym was an absolute vibe today, and I’m so excited to complete my prep in this environment because I know it’ll bring the best out in me.
Rest day tomorrow – so morning work, then mentor meetings in the evening! Onto another day!

You are shoe KING after all 😛

I have some clients that do 1g per meal , some that do 2. It depends on the size of the individual and how much they sweat really! But I find between the 1-2g per meal a good range

Client took the win in her class this weekend which was amazing! She got moved to athletic figure from toned and honestly seeing her on stage was the best given the circumstances that popped up during her prep this year! So super proud of her!
I have 5 ladies going in the ZF games in the next 2 weeks which is going to be another busy weekend but they’ve all worked so hard , so its going to be awesome to see them up on stage!
I had an absolutely banging push session today at ultraflex derby with a client – progressing on all movements which I’m feeling super confident about – excited to see what’s in store for the week!

I agree with the majority stated above
If you need to use it, you’re not cut out for this sport. End of. Too many people look for a shortcut on everything now a days, just embrace the hunger and move on.
I love the feeling of hunger tbh because I know when I’m hungry , I know my physique is changing and that is THE BEST!

Hi Tobi
So! Medicines like Ibuprofen are classed as NSAIDS (non steroidal anti inflammatory drug) in which there is some evidence to suggest that using NSAIDs may potentially have a negative impact on muscle growth when taken regularly for an extended period of time. The reason why it can potentially impact muscle growth is through the decrease in the inflammatory response ( as NSAIDS are used to reduce pain and inflammation) and muscle protein synthesis, which both are important for muscle growth and repair.
HOWEVER
The evidence is not conclusive, and more research is needed to fully understand the effects of NSAIDs on muscle growth.
That also being said – using Ibuprofen here and there isn’t going to cause any harm (I preference this with the fact I’m not a doctor, so at the end of the day utilise Ibuprofen as you deem necessary)
I hope this helps!

Hi Tobi
I hope you’re well! I can honestly relate to this. As someone who previously did an excessive (and I mean excessive) level of volume, having a mindset that if I wasn’t doing 4/5 sets plus , was I really training hard enough.
Over the past 3/4 months I’ve actually moved over to a lower volume of training and have had the best results in regards to growth since turning pro – one major shift in mindset that I’ve had when I started this approach, was to stop being so stubborn and open myself up to other strategies and training approaches. We all like to stick with what we think is best, when ultimately it could be killing our progression, so try your best to open yourself up to doing things you might not have done before as you never know, it might result in the best physique progression you’ve seen!
