Hi mate – it feels as though it’s my quads.
On every squat movement they feel tight and as if all the motor units aren’t recruited and working. Once I’ve gone through a heavy compound or two and the iso’s it’s fine but by then I’m mid way through session and don’t have as much left in the tank!
-
Couldn’t really say pain, more tight, can’t get the depth and my strength cut by at least 20%.
Just feels strange that I have to nail them on a press movement and isometrics before I can go heavy ????

Usage actually not primarily driven for any BB reasons – more as anti anxiety and perhaps to bring BP down.
Just wondering on the carry over / potential for any impacts.
Wouldn’t mind if it can be using to help drive PNS dominance though or any positive effects on CNS at all!

If you really want help and don’t mind experimenting with peptides – try looking into Selank; heard it has good applications for kicking drug addictions

Cheers @hilly will have a look. Hadn’t thought

Were you prescribed it for sleep?
Omprezole works well actually but just listening to @drdeanstmart it reduces stomach acid when likely cause of issues from PED use are due to low stomach acid.. have a read of his articles / posts on it.. one to avoid!
Would also appreciate the circadian benefits from Melatonin too! Just bloody hard to buy here.. practically give it away in the States!

Thanks @drdeanstmart – very much appreciate this tool to help identify root cause. Based on above I am thinking it could be either:
– Too long on cycle: even though i’ve titrated the doses down to 500mg test / 100mg mast pw, perhaps other compounds (such as high primo, var) still in system and might be longer term toxicity at play? Tren battered my sleep, even at a relatively low dose (200-300 pw) and I rode it out for about 6 weeks before kicking a while back
– Deload needed, still an option, as I know I overtrain and very infrequently if ever deload
– Digestion.. I had been carb backloading as I train first thing, bringing last meal forward from 1 hour before bed to 2 hours before bed has helped this passed week or so. I know stomach acid is greatly reduced and I was definitely getting some middle of the night GERD issues and also waking up hungry
@toby – appreciate the update man, let me know how you get on. Still a thought that I may have / or am susceptible to apnea – as started snoring outta seemlngly nowhere and my sleep tracker is riddled with micro ‘wake ups’

Thanks guys. Deload incoming. Just find it mentally so hard to take the break.
I’ve actually tried hyperdosing ashwag / CBD / sleep stack / extra magnesium and all makes only a slight bit of difference.. full break must be needed for CNS recovery

Cheers – let me know how you get on with the CPAP, night have to invest!

I’ve been doing this for years with success – and actually until only very recently I used to do it completely fasted, even now I don’t go in on carbs intra, just pepto pro and EAAs. Always have a strong pre… (TbJP Prepare is actually the one!)
I’ve always thought it is when you can get the most up for it.. if you can dig deep mentally first thing then always feel you are better off training then. I do it because I can only train pre or post work and post work I am knackered or stressed or in a rush or all 3.
You definitely get used to it (takes a few weeks) and I now have my best sessions first thing.. clear head, and can generate the intensity better than later in the day I find.
I do carb backload. If you’re limiting carbs, meal wise I would go – carbs post (post post) and then limit until last meal before bed and get them in. 100g from oats in last meal always serves me well and never feel too depleted in the morning!
I do think your body gets used to it. If your moving from training later in the day – huge warning it takes a while to adjust. Over the years my entire circadian rhythm has shifted to accomodate this training pattern, I used to be a night owl – now I’m a total morning person.. never thought it was possible!

Mate how long are you going for? For a 2 weeker I normally just do a double shot day I fly and you’ll be fine. Funnily enough I went to Bali 2 years ago and bought d bol and some test in a gym in Ubud – they sold it behind the counter ????

Pretty sure Indonesia has the death penalty for narcotics possession, would not risk It bro. Would say Bali is also vegan AF hard to get protes in but I took loads of Whey with no issue

Thanks Ryan – appreciate the advice my man.
Probably cruise at 250mg a week given I’m 28 and 240-260lbs. What you referenced above has been me in the passed, all previous cycles = come off eat more (+a bit of junk), scale weight maintains but gain BF quickly, which means I’ve also lost tissue. End up spending 1st half of next cycle recomping then dieting down again and barely ever gain anything poundage on lean weight.
Will aim to keep strength up, food moderate and BF within range.
